I would give this place ZERO STARS if I could. The manager/owner here is childish, immature, very unprofessional, and doesn’t know how to run a business properly. I ate at this establishment on Saturday May 6, 2023 and only received HALF of my order which was lukewarm at best. As well as the “Texas fries” that were bought was completely over cooked and the grease they used was so dirty the chips were inedible. Upon calling to receive a remake the owner wanted to argue and act as if my fiancé was stupid and said the only thing he could do is replace one meal out of the entire order (over 30 plus dollars spent) because he said the order was “partially correct”. If you really cared about your customers, the experience, and your food quality you would replace the whole meal. What does “partially correct” even mean? A owner should have more integrity than that. I had to drive over 30 minutes out of the way because this guy complains if I didn’t arrive at 3 he wouldn’t be here to honor a remake that wasn’t even my entire order. I would avoid this place or spending your hard earned money as the service isn’t good and the food is at best mediocre. The only reason this place is still open is cause they charge everything separately otherwise this place would have shut down at the beginning of Covid. I’m not one to do bad reviews but for the owner to act this way is beyond ridiculous and unprofessional. I can tell why none of the employees were smiling now.
(The photo provided below shows how dead it is because the locals know this place over charges and the owner is just simply not...
Read moreI really wanted to like this more because it was one of the top rated places in Muskegon and the city is struggling in the food scene. The retro gas station vibe is pretty cool. Reminded me of Steak 'n Shake and Quaker State.
When we arrived we were greeted by a line of porta-potties and a sign saying the bathrooms were out of order. Never encountered that before, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Upon entering I immediately noticed that the tables were small and packed tightly together. Also noticed the interior looked slightly grimy/tired. Thankfully we were seated outdoors, which was a nicer/newer area with larger tables and more spacing.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. An employee who happened to outside tending other tasks opened the door for me and some other guests. This clearly wasn't his job but that he was willing to go out of his way for this courtesy made a positive impression.
The food was good - not great but better than fast food or your typical diner. Definitely NOT a craft burger. While I can't be certain, the patties seemed to be at the very least pre-formed if not frozen. However, the variety of burgers offered was great and the waitress was able to direct me to a good burger that I liked. I ordered it medium rare and it came out closer to medium well. I'm not one to really fuss over doneness, but if I'm given the option then I expect it to be right. The sides were your standard potato fare - nothing truly unique nor outstanding.
Again, I really wanted to like it more. There's so much unmet potential. Would I return? Depends on...
Read moreFirst time visit. This place has neat themed decor ,quarter of a corvette on the wall. We were really expecting much better food than we experienced. It’s nothing special. We were a bit disappointed. $50 for 2 burgers and a chicken wet burrito ,small fry and their chips! My husband had to use a fork to eat his burger it was so messy. The burgers don’t come with fries or in a meal. The burger patty was way too big for the bun it was a bit ridiculous. The burger didn’t have any fresh taste or flavor. The $13 chicken burrito was a bunch of chopped chicken pieces in a flour tortilla with a very small amount of red sauce and we ordered extra cheese it didn’t have much cheese. It came with a giant dolllop of sour cream w/a cactus shape chip in it.The silverware is kept in a metal cylinder on the table we thought it was for straw paper or napkin trash? They should have a napkin dispenser on the table for the massacre of toppings loaded on the burgers. My daughter and I were never given refills on our soda. We had to ask for more than one napkin. Not an awful experience just not a phenomenal food experience. It was just ok.. I wouldn’t say it warrants a return visit or recommendation.. I’m just trying to be as brutally honest as I can be. I feel that home made fry’s would be worth having to buy a’la cart . These crinkle cut frozen fry’s not so much. We feel there’s much room for...
