Love this place! I go their daily (sometimes twice daily but whose counting lol). Unfortunately I have to say, the only Dunkinš©š© Coffee I like is from this Rootstown location. I didn't have a great opinion of Dunkinš© prior to this location opening... Before this location opened, I went to the Ravenna Dunkin Donuts (Connected to Circle K on the corner of 59 & rt.14) & I ordered a "Vanilla Bean Frozen Coffee", it tasted horrible š, I can't explain the taste but it wasn't even tolerable to drink, I thought maybe a new inexperienced employee was working so I went back a few weeks later & same horrible taste š, this time I took it back in, the employee took my drink & stirred in sugar an flavoring mix then gave it back š, I literally had gritty sugar stuck in the straw after sipping it šš... frozen coffee is a frozen blended beverage so just imagine how worse she made it taste. I was done with Dunkinš© but to be fair a few months later I went a 3rd time & just as before it tasted horrific š£š. So when I found out Dunkin Donuts was opening in Rootstown I wasn't thrilled. Being the coffee addict that I am I was hoping for a Starbucks to open nearby because driving to Kent is usually out of the way for me. Since Rootstown Dunkin Donuts is close & convenient I decided to give em' another try & I'm so glad I did because every drink I've ordered from here has tasted delicious. My favorite is the Frozen Coffee with Vanilla Bean Flavor or French Vanilla flavor & on occasion I like the girl scout flavors. I also love that the drive thru is open 24hrs!! So with that being said, just last week I was in Akron area & wanted a Frozen Coffee so I decided to stop by the Dunkin Donuts connected to Circle K in Akron located on the corner of 224 & 241and wow my frozen coffee tasted horrible, it was watered down, very bland, and had a stale coffee taste ššš, not to mention it took the lady forever to make it & I was the only customer there at the time. I wonder if the employees at the Circle K D.D. get the same training? Actually, now that I think about it š¤, I don't know of any other location besides Rootstown that isn't connected to a Circle K š¤...? What I do know is that the Rootstown Dunkinš© is Fantastic! I usually go thru the drive thru but the few times I went inside it was nice & clean, service is always quick, & the employees are nice & friendly, especially the overnight & early morning shift employees, their the Best š! I can't say this goes for all Dunkin Donuts but I can say if your in Rootstown & you visit this location, your sure to have a great experience! I ordered a small caramel iced coffee with cream no sugar and a medium caramel iced coffee with cream no sugar. After taking my first sip my mouth was filled with spoiled milk. It tasted like sour skittles and cottage cheese coffee. I asked my fiancĆ© to taste it and he described it as the most sour pungent flavor heās ever tasted in his life. Upon further comparison and examination of the drinks I noticed that mine not only tasted sour but it differed in color and had a sticky film residue on the inside of the lid (like a half drank coffee you forgot about in your car for a few days). I decided that I would take both the drinks back and request a refund. (Now let me be clear I NEVER take my drink/ food back. Iāve had a few meals or a few drinks that I could tell werenāt made with the most love or concentration in mind, but I never complain I just enjoy it the best I can and think ā better luck next timeā). So I go up to the counter with the drinks and ask them to refund me and take the drinks back. They tell me they canāt refund me without a receipt. (A receipt that not only they did not give me but NEVER asked me if I even wanted). Now up until this point Iām being VERY nice and the reason Iām being so kind is because my sister is a barista and she has people scream at her and call her terrible names all day demanding a drink remake and refund because āthere was 12 ice cubes in their drink instead of 11ā but Iām not complaining about the wrong kind of milk here or a mistake in my ice cube count I was given SPOILED MILK oh and let me add that I was given spoiled milk WHILE Iām 7 months pregnant. So, I try to problem solve. I paid with my Dunkin app so I show them my transaction history where it shows the location, time, and price of my order and my two coffees are sitting on the counter. The manager still refuses to refund me and says she can make me new drinks. (Yes there is nothing I want more than the people who gave me spoiled milk coffee to make me more spoiled milk coffee. no thanks). So I have to add it up for her: Youāre demanding a receipt. That you NEVER gave me. You NEVER asked if I even wanted a receipt For spoiled milk coffee YOU gave me while Iām 7 months pregnant. Is this not making sense to anyone else? I find it incredibly sad and expensive that I have to ask for an extra expresso shot just to HOPE it makes the hot caramel macchiato taste like it is supposed to as opposed to sweet hot water/milk-- for $6.93 nope, still tastes the same. PLEASE TRAIN ALL EMPLOYEES ON HOW TO MAKE A HOT MACCHIATO!! something is not being done correcting at this location day or night. the beverage should not be filled all the way to the very top of the flippin' cup. Dunkin really needs to work on their consistency of their hot mach/cap/lattes. It is a total crap shoot anymore -/ravenna/waterloo rd/kent/ stow etc. etc. (thank goodness Brimfield always makes them correctly, so far anyways, so it can be done. But they close at 9pm) about 1/10 drinks tastes like it should- the other 90% either have too much milk/cream not enough espresso, hardly any flavor or too much (caramel in my case) it is not rocket science. I was told by an assoc. at a dif. location it should be automatically pre-measured, so i have no idea how they can turn out like they do if that is the case. I assume there is a high turnover rate as to why the drinks are more wrong than right these...
