When this café first came to our small town, we would go often. However, we slowly experienced the decline in service and we stopped going. Last week, we decided to give it another try. We walked in and they had plenty of tables open, our party of 5 was seated right away without menus. We waited for a while before 4 menus and 4 sets of silverware were brought to us (we had a party of 5) and our drink orders were taken. We were shocked to see how much the prices increased since our last visit. $16 for a basic egg and bacon breakfast, which is a few dollars more than other breakfast cafes in Lancaster. I wouldn't mind the price if the service was top notch, but we continued to wait for our order to be taken. There were about 4-5 waiters and waitresses on the floor including the owner. Not sure why they were hustling so hard when they didn't have a full house. We placed our food order and received our food about 15 minutes later. They messed up on our order and tried to bring us 2 extra orders of biscuits and gravy when we repeatedly told them that we didn't order the extra food. They were basically giving us another tables order. My coffee cup was empty, I was never asked for a refill or for water. Common restaurant practice is to bring a water with coffee or ask if they want water after their coffee is finished. Syrup was never brought with our french toast. The cinnamon french toast was $10 and was basically 2 slices of raisin toast (again, with no syrup). We finished our food and we waited about 15 minutes with an empty table, waiting for our check. It was never brought to us. We finally walked up to the front counter and paid there. The prices were mind blowing for the horrible service. The owner is extremely kind, but her staff is going to hurt her business. I gave the food 3 stars because the biscuits and gravy were...
Read moreNow this is more like it! I made a review about most food places on the main *strip of Rosamond Blvd a couple weeks ago and how the service is often terrible.
If you're coming off the freeway Head East towards Sierra Highway and there's this little place just off the right in a small shopping center called Patty's Cafe.
Authentic delicious Mexican food and the service is fantastic. I personally ordered the Chile Verde and others of us ordered Burritos and Chilaquiles. Like I said earlier.. all absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of spice in my Chili Verde.
I got to say though prices are a little high here. I was hoping to make it my every Saturday stop but at these prices it might have to be every other Saturday or every other-other Saturday. Lol
My point is the service and the quality of the food and the taste of the food really is worth it when you want to treat yourself.
Two small apple juices for a one and a 3-year-old were eight dollars. Dishes average $16 to $21
I could have used a refill for my strawberry lemonade (delicious) but I'm not sure they offer refills at this place.
Our 1 year old was a little rowdy and the staff were very accommodating and patient.
There is a lot of parking but I can see how if things get crowded, parking might get tight.
All in all still five stars for me because my all-round experience what is fantastic! 5 Stars -for service, taste, and atmosphere for sure. It's a...
Read moreI decided to treat my mom and her friend to brunch for my moms birthday today . It was sadly a disappointment especially for paying 65+ dollars . I waited patiently for a good amount of time before deciding to seat myself after not being greeted or seated. After seating myself, I proceeded to wait patiently to be offered a menu I had to get your waitress attention off of her phone to ask for a menu. There was two servers working and an empty restaurant. Both of them were preoccupied in their phones all of our meals were served at different times an inconvenience when you’re trying to eat together, especially celebrating a birthday . Once finished with our meal, I asked for boxes and to go cup in which after waiting and watching your two servers, be more enthralled with their phones than the customers around them. I took it upon myself to go behind the counter and grab myself a to go cup, and box your server noticed looking up from her phone. I sarcastically told her it was OK and stay on her phone thinking that she would put it down. I was wrong. To say that I am disappointed in the $65 plus meal is an understatement. As upper management from a restaurant myself, I seriously recommend retraining of your employees on...
