Trapper's Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Rose City

Wont be going back to trappers any time soon. If ever. ☹ going to miss going there and watching rebel line, but not going to deal with the bar telling me that they are going to monitor my kids drinks. They were rude as hell last time we were there to and now this? Nope, not going back again. A few months after my cousin turned 21 we took him out and he got sick and puked, which I cleaned up myself. I even mopped the dang floor and wiped the table down. Then last time we were there the waitress told him (rudely but I let it go cuz I could kind of understand it. Still pissed me off but I did understand it) that there wasnt going to be any throwing up tonight.... so like I said I kind of got it but it made him not drink at ALL. He went to the jeep and took a nap while he waited for us. Then tonight we get there and they pull tim aside before we even got sat down and tell him that they are going to monitor what my cousin drinks because they got reports that he went to the jeep and was drinking and passed out the last time. Wait… wouldnt you rather he did that than pass out IN the bar? But even if he did, which he didn’t, what business is that of yours?? Wouldn’t that be ours?? The ones driving him home?? Anyways, that’s enough for us. Wont be going back...

As I sit at the bar, alone, I am greeted by friendly staff and a warm smile. I sit under the retro Budweiser lamps of the Clydesdales. It’s 2 in the afternoon but a steady clientele. Return customers line the bar, and as they sit, a beer is opened for them without them saying a word. An inviting, Cheers like, atmosphere. The inside is clean with two pool tables and an outdoor patio. I had a buffalo chicken wrap, with no cheese and added pickles and onions. I am thankful for the generous veggies in the wrap to make me feel better about myself. The fried were similar cut as to McDonalds. The Bud Light is cold and the music is from a customer controlled pay as you go jukebox. The radio from the kitchen helps break the silence between songs. Trappers is by far the best food and atmosphere around. Definitely a great place for a quiet drink or dinner as well as a get together with friends. Hungry? Love Pizza? This is the best pizza in Mid-Michigan!! I recommend the cheesy bread also! You can't go wrong with either one. The staff is top notch! Always nice and friendly and very attentive. When the night is over, you'll be smiling even more because the prices are super and well worth the quality and value! Check out the live music if you're around on the weekend!
