UPDATE to my review, based on the "owner's" reply: Verbatim, my father has now been asked twice at your establishment for his "dog’s papers." Your reply here is a blatant misrepresentation of the events, and I’d go so far as to call it an outright lie. I can say that confidently because I was on the phone with him during the first incident, earlier this week (during his second visit), when you brought out the chef to try to antagonize his service dog, and he was in fact asked for the dog’s papers. Since it is illegal to ask for service dog papers, he does not carry any proof she is one, besides the vest, which is a courtesy to let people know she is working. I completely agree that your restaurant, as a private establishment, has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. However, to lie about demanding papers and misrepresent the situation is an interesting and disappointing choice. During this most recent visit, my father explained that the only papers he might have on him, were in the truck, and were her rabies vaccination records, which may not even be the current ones. Rather than escalate the situation, he stepped over to the bar and attempted to have a calm, civil conversation with you about what is legally allowed to be asked under the ADA when it comes to service dogs. Unfortunately, your decision to explicitly demand papers—which is against the law—not only reflects poorly on your establishment but also opened you up to a discrimination lawsuit. The previous incident involving a fake service dog at another restaurant is completely irrelevant to this situation. While I understand your desire to keep your customers safe after that unfortunate event, how you handled my father’s visit is an entirely separate matter. The demand for papers, the claim of working for the ADA, and the hostility displayed by you were all unnecessary, unlawful, and unacceptable. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure you are properly educated on ADA regulations moving forward. Original review: I am deeply disappointed by the behavior of the hostess/waitress at this establishment. After successfully dining here twice this month, my father attempted to dine in again today with his service dog, who was wearing her service dog vest, actively performing her tasks, and causing no disruptions. The hostess demanded documentation for the service dog, despite this being a clear violation of ADA guidelines. According to ADA.gov, businesses are not allowed to request any documentation for a service animal. A service dog can only be asked to leave if it is not housebroken or is out of control—neither of which applied in this situation. Instead of respecting the law, the hostess became very unprofessional and aggressive, claimed to work for the ADA, and threatened to call the police for trespassing if my father didn’t provide papers. To make matters worse, she stated that the owner refuses to follow ADA guidelines. This behavior is not only discriminatory but also illegal. I have reported this incident to the ADA and will continue to share this experience across review platforms. The owners should be ashamed of how their staff treats patrons, especially those with disabilities.

Unassuming bar, smoky and dark. We pulled in specifically because of a review of the tenderloin, but unfortunately they were out of that and several other things. Instead, I ordered the country fried steak. It came out burning hot, smothered in delicious thick gravy, the mashed potatoes were thick and fresh, and the green beans were perfectly cooked. The steaks themselves were fried to perfection, crispy until the gravy soaked in and peppery and salty. The pricing is phenomenal (less than 30 bucks for 2 people to eat and I had leftovers to take home!) If I'm ever up this way again I'm for sure coming back.

I love this place! They have a pool tournament every Friday, and when you pair it up with an amazing surf & turf special and a great DJ...What more could you really ask for? The owners are some of the most friendly people I've ever met, and the rest of the patrons are the same. The staff are attentive, and they're quick to please their customers. All in all, it's a great place to spend your time and money. You won't be disappointed!

So I came into the pourhouse one time in my life, was there for roughly five minutes, and was kicked out even though I didn’t speak to the bartenders(even the owner pointed that out as well with her comment back to my last negative review). All because I’m with the owners daughters(one of the bartenders) ex, and because that same bartender is accusing my fiancé of putting his hands on her. Well my fiancé and I are on a pool league, and we have to play here at some point. Now we’re being told that he is allowed in the pourhouse, but I’m banned because I put a negative review on here. But we were kicked out the last time because of their accusations against him, nothing I did. So how is it that he’s allowed but I’m banned because of a negative review? How unprofessional can you be? To come up with any excuse to ban me instead of fixing the problems and the behavior that you let your daughter get away with at your place of employment. Do you not see ALL the issues she’s caused? All the bartenders that have quit? People who don’t go there...

Would give this place a negative review if it were possible. Dirty, run down, and apparently they are ok with that.

Edited to add a response to the reply: I stopped in on a sunday evening about two weeks ago. Sat at the bar for roughly 15 minutes, ignored by staff, not greeted nor order taken, until a local yelled at the bartender that she still hadn't taken either of our drink orders and I had been sitting there prior to his arrival. Bar wasn't busy, nor crowded. The entire place was dirty and dank, with grungy ash trays littered about the bar top. Bar top was sticky from either not having been cleaned, or having been wiped with dirty rags or without proper cleaning solutions. But yeah, no worries.. I won't be back and every chance I get, I will continue to tell people about the absolutely bottom rung service, and the overall lack of cleanliness this places...
