I don't leave reviews often... but this place really does deserve 5 stars in all categories of food, service, and atmosphere.
First time I left, I was buzzing, not from alcohol, but from such a indulgant experience. The menu is exceptionally thought out, combinations on pizza I've never seen elsewhere, every menu item was complimentary! Even thoughtfulness on dessert pairings! Pizza came out, and its STUFFED full with toppings, plenty of sauce, delicious crust (and Im not normally a crust eater) and the combos pair perfectly.
And the service... some of the better service I've had. I went back several evenings to work on my laptop (and to eat), and the waitress made me feel so welcomed with great vibes. I left feeling like I had been truely hosted well, not just served. Not many places show hospitality like here. After going around 10x, sure they get busy sometimes and gotta hussle, but I've noticed a consistency in great hospitality and that the staff get along. Even the owners come out and socialize.
My main thing is their pizza... but the crust specifically. I tend to react badly to pizza/bread, unless if it's sourdough and fermented properly. So the past 10 years Ive had to be careful. Normally at a pizza places I have to get gluten/free crusts that taste... like cardboard... but here, they do a 3 day proofing! The way a dough is supposed to be! At first I was hesitant, but I've been THRILLED I can eat their pizza without having a bad reaction! (Can't speak for everyone reactive to bread products, but I can eat 4-5 slices without feeling terirble the nexr day!) Plus, they actually put a generous amount of toppings on their pizza, most places it's like a "dusting" and mainly cheese... or you have to pay $$$$ to get extra toppings.
It really is the best pizza I've had, ever. Consistently. My spouse grew up eating pizza almost daily, so EVERY time we travel we've gotta try the local pizza. Cesarios wins. Even against pizza in New York, Huntsville, Nashville, Texas, Florida, Chicago, California etc... it is my #1 pizza I've eaten. My spouse says it's #2 best ever eaten because "honey, you make the #1 pizza" (but I suspect they have to say that LOL) But all in all, we will never go back to Mellow Mushroom, Pizza bros, Community Pie, etc... not when...
Read moreI had the Pizza Amore, Forbidden fruit, Caprese, and Fig Amafi. I like the forbidden fruit pizza. Hearty tomato sauce base. It's got the fig and the pineapple to sweeten it, peppers to spice it up, and it has bacon to give it like a robust savory flavor in addition to the sweet and hot flavor. The pizza Amore is a white pizza and it's pretty good. It's just your basic Alfredo base white pizza but with Italian sausage and Bleu cheese to extend the flavor palate out more than your typical white pizza. The fig amafi that I got is really good. It's more sweet, so I would think that this is more like a subtle dessert as opposed to like a really rich and overpowering dessert. Really great to cleanse the palate between flavors when trying multiple menu items. The caprese is your typical caprese which is absolutely amazing. Always a personal favorite of mine. It offers the flavorful, sliced mozzarella and the robust Roma tomatoes with a really nice, tangy, and just a hint of sweet balsamic drizzle. Activating every section of taste buds on your palate. Can't wait to go back and try even more! Already planning a trip for the bruschetta and the bear ;) I went at lunch and there was no wait. The service staff was quick to greet me. Actually about three different people greeted me which was really nice. The atmosphere is very cool and different from anything I've seen here. I really love the way they built it out and the decor. Its a warm and inviting space. The owner was there and was also very kind. I ordered a lot of food and feel what I waited was more than reasonable for made to order hot pizza with fresh ingredients. I noticed on the menu there were several meatless options so I know it is vegetarian friendly as well as easily wheelchair accessible and the environment is definitely kid-friendly. The inside space is smaller than the outdoor space, but there is nothing going on there that I would think would deter a family from feeling comfortable dining in there. And there is plenty of free parking which is always a plus and a nice change of pace from the downtown area while still being less than 10 minutes outside...
Read moreI’ve eaten here a decent amount of times (at least 5) and for the most part it’s been really good. I had such high opinions and hopes for this place. That is until last night. I went out with my wife and friends and ended up ordering a Butcher pizza and when I got it I wasn’t impressed, just didn’t live up to the standard of the pizzas I’ve had here. (It lacked flavor and I wasn’t a huge fan of the beef that was on it). My friend ordered Chicago beef sandwich and it came cold and wasn’t flavorful at all either. We felt bad but after not wanting to eat them tried to politely ask if we could send them back for something different. We were told that if we were to do that we’d still have to pay for both, which had seemed crazy because I had a singular slice missing which I shared with my daughter and my buddy took 2 bites out of his sandwich before admitting that he didn’t like it at all. We then were frustrated and ready to leave. Shortly after the manager came and tried to talk to us about the situation. She offered to make one pizza we could share which seemed like at least a compromise. Our other friend had ordered an Americano with sausage and it had actually turned out superb so we tried to get the same thing. When we did get our pizza it came with almost no cheese and was soggy wasn’t even close to what he had and we had even specifically asked for the exact same thing. After that we were over the experience and ready just not to come back here. Also, a heads up I wish I would’ve know… if you’re going to order the meatballs they’re going to be small and not a good value for your money. $10 for 3 small meatballs. My friend ordered the bread and oil and had a similar situation, the bread isn’t anything special. We tried to order a few things off the menu to really give the experience a chance and honestly my wife and I spent $70 on food we...
