Starbucks — Restaurant in Round Rock

So I go here every so often. The service is always fantastic. They are always fast and usually make their drinks spot on. However this morning my drink was just terrible. I got a brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso and I don't know what happened but what I got tasted like straight up burned old coffee with not even a hint of brown sugar and maybe a splash of oatmilk in there. Not to mention the drink wasn't even close to the volume it should be at(a lot of ice and not a lot of coffee stuff), as you will see by the attached pictures, and overall it was just bad.

I have severe anxiety and usually just drink it even when it's messed up but I knew I wasn't going to be able to drink it because of the overwhelming burnt coffee taste, that actually lingered until I got home and brushed and mouthwashed, (this is from someone loves dark brews and slow brews it and drinks it black at home because I love the deep flavor it has) So I managed to go ask for it to be remade but then the barista wanted to ask my questions and I did try to answer him but I was busy having a panic attack by that point so I answered the best I could and left.

So the remake was much better. No burned coffee taste that time. It definitely had too much oat milk that time but I'll take that over what I originally got any day. So while I was dissapointed with the first drink the service was really good. They weren't rude about me needing it remade.

It's just that, personally, I've probably had like a minimum 100 of these drinks from different Starbucks locations (yes I have a problem 😂) since they came out, I feel like it was obvious the first one wasn't made correctly and shouldn't have been sent out. I knew from the second I saw it it wasn't correct but I had to try it anyways because of that anxiety so I just don't think there's any way someone that makes this every day saw that and said, yeah that's exactly how it's supposed to be, and sent it out. I had a business meeting here and had a great experience.

The lady taking my order looked like a sweet grandma. She had long white hair and bright red glasses. She moved at a relaxed grandma's pace but it was nice to slow down and watch her working.

I got a iced matcha and my client got a dragon fruit drink. We were discussing his real estate investment portfolio and coming up with a strategy to build it so we were there for a while. There was background music but it wasn't too loud, so we could hear each other and didn't need to speak loudly or yell. That's nice when we're discussing personal business matters.

The bathrooms were clean. And after my long meeting, I asked if this location offered free refills. They said, yes, if I had the app, which I did. :)

I asked for a decaf but they did not have any brewed decaf at that time. I told them I'll just take a regular coffee for the road but instead, they brewed me a decaf Americano. It was very appreciated.

While I was waiting for my drink, the barista Jeremie asked me about my phone holder and we had a great conversation. (It was slow and there was no one in line.) and it made my wait time enjoyable and I walked away feeling happy.

I would definitely come to this location again. The staff was friendly and the service was delightful. They also had a nice collection of cups and bottles for sale. I didn't have any of the food this time but they looked good, with healthy options, which is...

I enjoy coming to this Starbucks because they have yet to mess up my order. Which sounds bad kind of because we are all human and make mistakes, but, when you're paying 5 or 6 bucks for a coffee I have come to expect to receive a correct order.

The parking is minimal but effective for how quickly people are churning in and out of the establishment. I know a couple folks who do the order ahead thing and have not had any problems with the service in that regard.

There is no reason to not give five stars, because, it's Starbucks, you know what you expect from over of these places and it's exactly what you expect. WiFi works, machines are never broken when I'm there, they have not sold out or run out of anything when I want to get it.
