If I could give it zero stars I would. Ice cream is extremely sweet and customer service is absolutely terrible. I went this evening with my family and when it was my turn to order the girl at the window did not greet me and just asked what I wanted. I asked for a kids hard vanilla in a cup with sprinkles . She responded with we don’t do a kid hard vanilla in a cup she said it had to be a small. I proceeded to order 3 kid cones with hard ice cream to which she responded we can’t do any hard ice cream on a cone. I don’t understand why every other place can do it. She proceeded to give me a waffle soft serve mint chocolate which was not what I ordered and when I told her I want a hard mint chocolate chip on a sugar cone because she not once asked me what cone I wanted she responded with this is mint. I said again I want a hard mint chocolate chip on a sugar cone to which she then responded well then throw it out behind you. She took a very long time processing my order and brought one thing at a time and even asked me again what I wanted. I paid 25 for 3 cones and 1 cup that is absolutely over priced. I will not be going back again and I advised no...
Read moreJust got home from Cliffs for the first time and man are we disappointed. Heard great things about this place and we're really excited to try it out. my wife ordered a banana split, the person at the counter asked if she wanted the normal flavors and toppings. my wife said yes. I ordered a double scoop size of their mixed cookie fantasy flavor. when we got home we realized neither of our orders were exactly as expected. first off, my double scoop size was in a very small 10oz foam cup. what was inside instead of my mixed cookie fantasy flavor was 2 scoops of vanilla with a crumble of Oreo topping on top. I was bummed out. Next, to both of our surprise, my wife's banana split DIDNT HAVE A banana! no pieces, no slices, no hint of banana in the so called banana split. we're both unhappy and a fun trip to the ice cream place has resulted in both of us upset and frustrated. and on top of all this, the 2 small ish sized desserts (when we ordered a pretty big size option) was $17. holy cow. very upset at our first experience and will NOT be coming back or recommending cliffs. in this area, you can...
Read more$9.15 for one scoop of ice cream? Ok I love the ice cream and I’m a, in my opinion a good customer. I went to the window and asked for 2 scoops in a waffle cone and this is what I got. One scoop and an attitude from the young lady when I questioned why I only got one scoop. She then gave me a smart answer and said it’s really 2 and a half the first scoop is in the cone. Well I’v been buying ice cream for 40 years and this is the first time I have asked for 2 scoops and then told that the first scoop is in the cone and made to look like I’m wrong. The bottom line is regardless of the price I asked for 2 scoops on top and I think for $9.15 I should have at least got what I paid for. Homemade or not I shouldn’t have to deal with an attitude, over priced ice cream and being under served.
Update: After speaking to a nice gentleman at the ice cream shop he explained to me the process and the weight that is associated with the sizes of the cones. Then ordered a cone and was very satisfied with the portion. Thank you
