Muldoon's — Restaurant in Roxbury Township

First of all keeping a black folding guest check book in the back of your pants by your rear end and sharing it with customers is disgusting and unsanitary!!!

Sunday Feb 18th I showed up about 6pm to pick up a customers GrubHub order. It was hangar steak, blackened chicken, 2 french onion soup and something else. Close to $100 in food and fees order. I asked the bartender if the order was ready.

She immediately threw up both hands shook her head at me and said "No thats going to be a while!" very rudely. So...I sat at the bar almost 30 mins. The restaurant had about 8 customers at the bar and 2 tables full total. It wasnt even busy. 30mins go by. Order is still not ready. I took a delivery for another service in the meantime. Now an hour has gone by(!)

Then go back to Muldoons. I ask the bartender/server again is the grubhub order ready yet. "No!!!" she yells at me again. The whole bar laughs at me. So I informed her that I would call the customer and ask her to cancel the $100 food order. She did cancel too.

I think the bartender and or kitchen staff just wanted to keep the order for themselves they knew the restaurant was closing soon and if they did I hope muldoons fires them. The place wasnt even busy. Now muldoons loses $100 food order and the fees. Grubhub and Doordash orders are supposed to be ready in advance. To wait 60 mins for one is not acceptable. I blame the rude nasty bartender. They need to hire someone younger and nicer. Muldoons lost money and an customer tonight. I am a representative of your customers and their subcontractor when I show up there. You can do better Muldoons. Nobody should have to wait an hour for food. It really seemed like the cook and bartender couldnt handle just the few...

So I went to get takeout and originally my order was going to be A lemonade, a shepards pie, and a lava cake. When I called ahead of time and asked for the following items, the lady said that the to go cups were kid sizes and the lava cake wouldn't be able to hold during the trip.

I don't know what's wrong with it, but I have ordered a lava cake from Chillis and it definitely held up during my trip.

So I only ordered a Shepards pie and it was around $17. Once I arrived, the lady gave me a shepards pie over the bar and the bar was filled with people (But that wasn't the problem). I didn't have space to place my bag anywhere. So I was going to place it behind me on a table, but the woman then thought I was trying to STEAL it. I told her that I was trying to get my wallet out of my bag, but I have to place my shepards pie down before I can open my wallet, It took two hands to hold. She did apologize, otherwise I would have given 1 star. I paid for it and left.

The pie looked like 5 dollops of mashed potatoes mixed with a sloppy Joe. Disappointed but it tasted okay. Had better elsewhere and will probably not be...

Muldoon's has always been a great place to grab a bite for my family. The establishment changed hands a few times and now is under new management once again. We visited this past weekend and happy to report that it was clean, easy to park, and seated quickly.

Our group ordered the french onion soup, Muldoon's salad with salmon, chili nachos, a BLT, and sweet potato fries.. just to name a few.

All of the portions were large and very tasty. The onion soup was good, the sweet potatoes had just the right amount of crunch, and the BLT included large pieces of bacon. The chili on the nachos was very tasty and not too spicy, but it is truly a sharable dish! The Muldoon's salad was similar to a Greek salad with big chunks of feta. The salmon on the salad was cooked just right, with the flavor just adding the right complement on top!

Overall, I would recommend this spot. The only reason that I did not give them 5 stars was because I liked it,...
