El Barco Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Rushford

We recently visited this restaurant with a party of nine. To begin with the positives: the food we did receive was not bad and generally enjoyed by our group. That said, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

While we understand that larger parties can occasionally lead to mix-ups, the level of disorganization and inattentiveness was beyond what we expected. We frequently had to ask for basic items—one drink, for example, took three separate requests and about 15 minutes to arrive. One person’s meal never came at all, despite multiple inquiries from different members of our party. Each time, we were told it was being looked into, but nothing ever materialized.

When it came time to pay, we were completely ignored by the staff, including the waitress, owner, and other workers. This was frustrating, especially after such poor service. Upon reviewing our receipt, we also noticed multiple instances where we were charged more than what was listed on the menu.

After waiting over an hour for a simple biscuit and an order of bacon—with no update or resolution—we ultimately left. There was no apology, no effort to correct the issue, and certainly no discount offered for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The extra charges were unacceptable, and the service we received was both inattentive...

Absolutely amazing 10\10 Only my 100th ok so maybe 50th trip to this restaurant. He started in Arcadia, now here and apparently a new location i haven't tried. Locals say they aren't giving him back. It may be Mexican but I promise the pizza you find anywhere else !!! Try the Stromboli or even the cheese curds. Most amazing margaritas !!!! if you're reading this get in your vehicle and start driving you'll thank me later. Beautiful town, amazing people, great food !! I love places that are clean.... on a Sunday you see a guy hand scrubbing the kitchen ...? Better believe this is better than anywhere else ! The bill 100 for everything including drinks .... Good god the cheese bread i just can't the carbs the deliciousness this is "Full and satisfied...

Been here a few times and it has just been worse and worse. I asked for a Dr Pepper and the waitress said they didn’t have any, yet I could see the fountain machine and there was clearly a Dr Pepper up there. I also ordered combination steak, chicken & shrimp fajitas and inside your usual onions & peppers, it came out with California blend veggies! HUH? Yup, broccoli, Cauliflower & carrots. Lmao. A different time we ordered the nachos and they were actually really good. Fresh veggies, real chicken slices etc. so the next time we ordered nachos and it was ground burger with plastic fake nacho cheese....
