I discovered La Villa about a month and a half ago and was initially impressed. In fact, I’ve visited four times in the past five weeks. However, my last three dine-in experiences have shown a steady decline in service.
The first time I dined in, everything was great—the waitress checked in regularly and even brought out fresh bread with dipping sauce while I waited for my entrée. Unfortunately, each subsequent visit has been more disappointing. The amount of dipping sauce served with the bread has noticeably decreased, and during my most recent visit, I mentioned this to my waitress. She said she would bring more, but never did—and she didn’t check in again for the remainder of my meal.
When I asked for the check and a to-go box, I brought the issue up again at the register. The woman working the front, who was clearly frustrated while speaking to another customer on the phone, responded curtly to my request for extra dipping sauce. I was even willing to pay for it, but her sharp “NO, that’s another $2” was unnecessarily rude. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen her speak to customers in that tone, and it really detracts from the overall dining experience.
It’s unfortunate, because I genuinely enjoy discovering and supporting locally owned restaurants. But the lack of attentiveness and poor customer service, especially from the front desk, has ultimately pushed me away. While it may not matter to them, I won’t...
Read moreWow! Worst customer service ever. The elderly waitress is rude and please don’t ask her any questions because her snide remarks will definitely let you know how annoyed she is to have a customer. I came here with friends because of the ratings on google and thought it would be great. The three of us ordering are definitely not going to try anything else off the menu because the responses we are getting are rude and hateful. I can’t imagine they get much business and I imagine her tips are zilch. I am just flabbergasted at the way someone in customer service role would behave. If she was busy I could understand seeing someone get frustrated, but she is wrapping spoons so she is obviously not too busy. I literally eat at Olive Garden minimum of once a week and thought we would try something new. Sadly disappointed, but it’s obvious why Olive Garden stays successful. This will just be another one of those restaurants that will close down because they haven’t learned the true heart of any business is customer satisfaction. The food is ok, but nothing to write home to...
Read moreWhile traveling across I-40 on a long road trip, we went out of our way to have dinner here. We had to hustle along in order to arrive before they closed that evening. The two of us walked in 30 minutes before closing time. The hostess/our waitress asked if we'd be ordering take out. When we said, "no, we'd like to eat in," she said she'd have to ask if that was possible. After checking with the chef (who I assume is also the owner), she seated us. After that prickly start, the waitress was more hospitable. We ordered and then a bread basket with olive oil/balsamic dipping sauce was brought. THAT BREAD IS da BOMB! I had Chicken Siciliano (w/mushrooms, artichokes, & capers on spaghetti). My son had one of their sampler platters (lasagna, fettucine alfredo, & ?). Our food was delicious and there was lots of it! We had leftovers. Next time, I'd arrive earlier, order one item to share and then, if still hungry, order something else. We were out of there not long after their...
