Wind Taste — Restaurant in Russellville

We frequently get carry-out from Wind Taste, and have for years. The food was bland when they first opened, but quickly improved to the point that some of my friends were crowing pretty loud about it. We revisited it and have been loyal customers ever since.

Everything has been good to excellent, but I always come back to the scrumptious Kung Pao Chicken. It's hard to find good Egg Foo Yung, but theirs is the best I've ever had, though a tad greasy. The Mei Fun is great as well.

Some other reviewers mentioned the service is rude. The owner is a stoic type personality for sure, but has never been rude to us, and has even given us some real VIP treatment before.

Wind Taste isn't fast, because everything is freshly cooked to order by only a couple of people. But, in general, I've found it to be no slower than any other sit-down, menu-only Chinese place. If you want fast drive thru or carry out, just place a quick call-in order before leaving to go there. Google Maps says we're a 6 minute drive away, and it's usually ready about the time we arrive. However, just tonight at 6:30PM, they were very busy and the wait was 30 minutes when we called in our orders. The food was excellent, though.

The food is great but when the Asian lady (owner) is your waitress, she will have an attitude. If you go during the morning hours there will be a middle-age Caucasian lady - she is very friendly and super nice. This past Sunday my friend and I decided to have lunch there and we were treated very poorly by the owner (she was our waitress). After a minute of being seated she came and asked if we were ready to order our main meal which we responded "No, but we are ready to order an appetizer". Her response and body language was bad and she responded "Okay then. I will come back when y'all are ready to order your main meal" then she walked away. We paid for our drinks and decided to go...

I enjoy the flavors of the food and for the price you get PLENTY!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I enjoy the dining experience the waitresses stay on top of things. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I've never had to ask for a refill and I appreciate that. My favorite dish is the 💜💝Bean Curd Czeshuan💝💜(not sure I spelled it right) really like the Czeshuan flavor! FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE: If you're in a hurry and you want it to go they have a drive through but I'd advise you to call it in ahead of time because they make it fresh to order and they're on a small lot so finding you in a crowded lot can be difficult for the person carrying out your food when the drive through is busy. Love this place and continue to visit for more yummy...
