Hart's Garage — Restaurant in Rutland Township

I gave this place a 4 star and that's only because Chelsea came and saved it from being a 2 star. Our original server was atrocious and had no idea what she was doing. We got sat at our table and another couple got sat right after us. The other couples server came right away and took their drink order and also gave them some tickets for something. We sat down at 540. That time is important to the next part of my story. So after about 15 minutes our server finally came and took our drink and Appetizer order. After another 10 minutes our drinks finally arrived. At that point we hear a bunch of commotion. They were apparently announcing that they were doing a raffle from the tickets they were handing out. I said I had no tickets, and OUR SERVER said, "you had to be here before 6pm". I said we were here before 6. She said I don't think you were. I said that table behind us sat down AFTER US and they got tickets. So how is that possible. She said we'll I'm sorry its the owners rules. Really? She was the one who couldn't be found for over 20 minutes. As they are doing the raffle I see the guy coming with our Appetizer. I said hey that's ours. He said I have to verify first. Really? You don't know table numbers? After running around and waiting for OUR server to finish the raffle we weren't even part of, She finally tells him it's ours and he brings it to us. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't hot either. It tasted really good but would have been better hot. There was alot of bad this server did before Chelsea came to take over. Everyone there seems clueless and ran around trying to figure out what to do. Chelsea should be a trainer since she was the only one that could deliver. Looking at previous reviews that seems to be the continuous problem, bad staff. Keep Chelsea or you will have to close your doors with poor service. The food we did get after she took over was very very delicious. So very good. These days service means everything and if you keep this poor server you won't last, even if your food...

Heard about this place from friends had to try it out ... Ordered appetizer..Italian beef egg rolls Ordered 2 southwest chicken wraps upgraded sides to cheese curds, n fried pickles And a Sicilian burger with fries well done. First all the food was cooked as asked spot on.. But I'd have to say the Italian beef egg rolls concept though sounds good but lost me on the lack of seasoning in the beef and lack of cheese all the flavor came from the horseradish sauce and a few peppers ...if home made kick it up a notch...if not I'd scratch it and replace it on the menu and for the price 13.00 for 6 definitely not worth it . Southwest chicken wraps though good fresh ingredients lacked the cilantro lime sauce definitely needs more n through out. The burgers are advertised as smash burger which being a major burger connoisseur the words " smash burger" usually means very smashed and thinned out patty, being surprised by the patty circumference and thickness I was thrown off track , my recommendation would be what ever the weight is ( seemed to be a 1/3lb patty) advertised as such.." a smashed 1/3 lb patty" Options are there for 4.00 more or triple for 6.00..over all burger was very good. All 3 sides were perfect from chesse curds 2.00 upcharge, and fried pickles 3.00 upcharge to the basic fries were cooked as asked.... The restaurant it self is made up well being a big car guy myself loved the decor and atmosphere but the metal chairs gotta go lol! Sunday April 25th 6:00 p.m. try to call the place in order for pickup and it was no luck? So decided to drive down to place my order and all I wanted was a hamburger a wrap and an Italian beef. When I walked in the place was maybe half full I waited for somebody to speak with me and I told him that you couldn't place a pickup order and he said yeah I know we're swamped, if you're swamped with the place only being half full and half of that are sitting at the bar you have a real problem! Now mind you I have managed a restaurant bar for at least 4 years, I asked them hey can I place an order for the items I just mentioned, and the guy said it's going to take at least an hour and a half! I said no thank you! They clearly have a sign posted that they're hiring for all positions and I was hoping that if they had good food and good service that they would make a decent business out here in this area, apparently they decided to open up their business and I guess they're not staffed properly at all. I'm thinking what, do you only have one cook and by the way the longest thing to cook there is a pizza and it's usually sitting in a pizza oven doing its own thing. Don't know what's happening with this new place, didn't get a chance to really check it out like I wanted to, but it only takes one time for me and I won't be going back. I hope the owner actually gets staffed properly before...
