Hands down the absolute worst service we have ever had, anywhere. My husband & friends have loved the Woodstock location, so we met up at this one with my MIL. It started out like any other restaurant visit, no reason to question quality or integrity. My husband ordered the gyro platter, which the menu showed it came with choice of potato & a salad garnish (there was specific text on the menu that it did not come with soup or side salad like the other entrees). The server asked my husband if he wanted soup or salad, he said it's not supposed to have that. He response was "sorry, I haven't had anyone order this in a long time." No problem at all, but keep this statement in mind. So she asked if he wanted the daily vegetable, which other entrees came with, but not this one. He said he didn't want the veggies. So, of course, his plate came out with no veggies, not even the salad garnish. He immediately said he was missing the salad, she said it didn't come with one, this goes back to the whole soup/salad question when he first ordered. He told her to check the menu. She didn't return for at least 20 minutes! Not to check how the food was, get refills, nothing. She purposely avoided us. When she did finally come back, my husband was done, but he brought up that he was still missing part of his dinner. Here's where things really went south. She left, then came back saying that they ran out of lettuce & tomato because they sold so many yesterday with it being 4th of July. Remember earlier when she said she hadn't had anyone order it in a while? But yet, my MIL had a salad with her dinner, there was lettuce & tomato on my sandwich, and a large portion of their menu contains lettuce & tomato. So does that mean those items were not available to order? No one told us that any item was not available. And seriously, you think I'm going to buy that any restaurant was packed full of gyro platter eating people in the 4th of July? At this point we asked for a manager. A good 5 minutes pass & the server returns, finally fessing up that she made a mistake when she put in the order. My husband questioned why she never came back to tell us anything, why hasn't she checked on drinks, etc. The excuses really came flying - the host is new & sat her 5 tables in a short period of time, she was too busy, etc. I've waited tables, and when you get into a situation like that, you ask for help from your manager or another server. At no point did she ever bring the missing part of his entree. She did apologize for the service, but it sounded so insincere. My MIL said an adjustment needed to be made on our bill. Now, the server starts stifling laughter right at our table. She went away for a bit, came back & said she'd adjust the bill. Ok, but still no manager in sight. She brought the bill back with $5 off. She could get the manager again if we really wanted to talk to her. So we asked why couldn't she come out. Server's response was "well, she's pregnant. 9 months!" Somewhere in here too was stifled laughing again. Any restaurant, a manager should always be visible and immediately be able to talk to a table. If the manager really could not do her job due to her physical condition, then she needs to be on medical leave. But, just like all of the other lies that came out of the server's mouth, were pretty sure she lied about the manager too. We are generous tippers, but because of her lies & avoiding us, she missed out on a $25 tip (our bill was $95). Normally I wouldn't do this, but there is nothing on their website to contact them directly, so publicly it is. Also, I would usually suggest that additional training is needed, but this girl should not be working in any customer...
Read moreWe frequent the dining room at least once a month, but when you add our pick up orders, it's quite a bit more.
This rating is strictly for the phone in order that we place tonight.
I usually have nothing but 5 stars for when dining in. The food is always good and we usually have very good service.
My complaint is with the phone orders that we frequently pick up. We have always ordered the same exact meals. 2 full slabs ribs, veggies, and 2 salads. We have started asking that the salads are placed in a separate bag so they aren't warm when we get the order home.
Very simple order especially when they can see it's the same order everytime. Tonight they didn't bag the salads separately, however, mistakes happen.
My complaint is with the full slab of ribs. This is probably the 6th time it's happened, but what has me extremely irritated is this is the 3rd time in a row that we are not getting what we paid for.
They give us a "full" slab that consists of two (2) smaller boned half slabs which is not a true full slab and definately not worth the price of a full slab. We understand exactly what they're doing. Someone orders a half a slab, they cut the full slab in half and they give them the meatier longer boned half slab. So now they have a smaller short boned half that they will never sell as a half slab, but with our phone orders they're throwing the two smaller half slabs in the container, but they're charging us for a full slab. It literally is so much less meat.
I've finally had it because it's getting to be common place and it's definitely not over $60 worth of food. Tonight they only did it to one of the two slabs that we ordered just as they did it last time, but three orders ago both of the slabs we ordered were smaller half slabs. Do they truly think that their customers don't see what they're doing, especially with the price?
Unfortunately now when I place an order I will be forced to emphasize that I'm not going to let them rip me off again. They should not put their customer in this position. They shouldn't be ripping off any of their customers just because they can't sell a smaller half slab. If they can't sell that half slab, oh well that's what being in the restaurant business is about, you have wasted food, but to try to rip the customer off is unacceptable.
It will truly tell me how honest of a business they're trying to run because it will be very easy to contact me. I shouldn't be put in the position to have to call...
Read moreWanted to try a local restaurant and decided on Niko’s based on the reviews. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s not it. Walked in and noticed NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE WEARING A MASK. are we in 2022 or 2019 ??? especially since cases in the county are scary high. So right off the bat, was not having a good feeling. We were sat down pretty fast which was good since the place was busy. The server came and introduced herself and asked what we wanted to drink. i asked for my drink and my boyfriend asked for a beer. Asked for his ID and my boyfriend had vertical ID (HE IS 21) and the server was like we do no accept vertical ID, which we completely understood and respected. As soon as she said that, she just left. No “can i get you something else “ or anything. My boyfriend was about to order just a coke but she left and didn’t come back til minutes later. that is when my second red flag came out. when she came back she did apologize but very sarcastically which i tried to understand as she must thought we were just dumb young kids trying to get a drink. Shaked it off and just knew we tip according to the service. figured it was due to how busy it was( i hope)However, there was a server who was super helpful and nice when i asked her what plate one of the guest had at the table next to us and she right away went to ask. She also went to grab our waitress to make sure i can switch plates. 10/10 for that girl. Basically giving two stars because the food was great and the server being helpful, but it’s 2022 guys. WEAR A MASK IF YOU ARE WORKING IN RESTAURANT! IT...
