My husband was scheduled for a fasting test today in Lewiston so on the way back home we just had to stop by Uncle Moe's for a late Lunch after leaving St. Mary's. We try to stop here at Uncle Moe's whenever we can if it is open and have since our kiddos were little. They now have adult children. We have never received a disappointing meal in all that time. And suffice it to say that their kiddos are the proprietors now. We both ordered the same thing, deep fried chicken in batter with fresh French Fries and house cole slaw because we discovered it as a new dish last year on another medical visit. Our meal was delicious, as always, and the service was just as good. Neither of us had room for dessert nor for all of our meal. There was such a large serving that our plates were just about to burst! We both had to ask for doggie bags - and NOT for the dogs either! I highly recommend this family restaurant to anyone who wants a great homemade meal that tastes just as good as it looks. Just take a look. I bet your mouth is watering right now... From Gardiner just head down the Lewiston Road through Monmouth, Wales, down past Fielder's Ice Cream, into Sabathia, and keep watching as you pass Dunking through the light on your right across from the gass station, and there it is on your left. Enjoy! I...
Read moreThe food is great and service is excellent. I have worked here before and Dan, the owner, is a great person to work for. And as for Kelly's comment about the corned beef hash, yes it is from a can but it is still good. If you go and work at restaurants, you will notice that MOST of them use "cheat" methods because it is faster and more cost effective in both price and labor to make. A restaurant that makes every single thing on menu from scratch will run itself into the ground unless they have customers willing to pay a lot more.
Overall, I highly recommend eating breakfast lunch and dinner here while they are open for dinner. They give excellent portions for the price you pay, and you will...
Read moreNice wait staff, clean, but food was lackluster. We stopped going a while back because we had a horrible meal Overcooked chicken fingers you could hardly bite through and steak tips that were very dry. After 2 or 3 months we figured we would try it again. Well the food was again lackluster turkey club was sliced turkey roll, not what you'd expect for a restaurant meal. The haddock pieces where at best ok They looked like lite breaded cheese sticks, but had fish inside. Definitely a frozen portion control ite9, and they ran out of carrots (veggie of day). They offered canned green beans as a sub yuck We are now convinced we will...
