On our way back to LA from the Davis area, we were looking for a hearty and relaxing meal to sustain our 5 hour drive back home... we couldn't wait to get out of the chaos that the downtown Davis area can be...not to mention the limited selection of overpriced and mediocre dining... we hit the road and immediately into the transition from the 58 to the 5 South, I began my search and found Florez Bar & Grill just a short distance from the fwy...located within a pretty safe residential area... it sits within a corner of an outdated strip mall next to an Asian supermarket. We were there in the early afternoon so I really can't comment on how the area may feel at night but while we were there it always felt very safe. The restaurant has seating indoors and out. There is Bar seating but it is limited. I ordered veggie enchiladas and they were surprisingly wonderful. I also ordered a lime mojito. Often times, Mexican restaurants over salt their sauces and food...this place didn't. The food was presented well, salt content was appropriate and the food was flavorful. Highly recommend:)

A neighborhood restaurant hidden in the corner of a small community shopping center . On the search for great to good Mexican food in the Sacramento area. This restaurant was right under our nose located in the land park area. Unassuming building outside, large outdoor covered patio seating. Attractively decorated both indoor and outdoors. Service was outstanding, even with a busy crowd. Full bar available, and there will be live music on Cinco de Mayo with a brunch As for the food it was great and prices outstanding. We ordered the chicken flautas made with flour tortillas appetizer and it was happy hour priced and a trio plate of a crispy shredded beef taco, chilli Verde burrito and chicken quesadilla. Served with Mexican rice and beans. Also we noticed on the menu that the restaurant served menudo 7 days a week, and has a cup, small bowl and large bowl offerings. Something you don't find very often. The food was fresh, served hot and was delicious, even down to the chips and tasty spicy red salsa. Give the place a try I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

First time here and We Loved it, the food was awesome and very well portioned eventhogh we just order from the Happy Hour Menu which they have Every Tuesday from 6pm to close. I looked at the regular menu too and I found the prices just right for the kind of food they serve, the portions and the quality.. "We have been trying to find a Mexican restaurant with food that taste like real Mexican food and I think we found it" (that was my husband, who is Mexican, said). The staff was super nice too, very caring about the the taste of the food and about us been comfortable. The only thing though I must say is that the restaurant is on a back corner of a little shopping plaza and is a little hard to find because it's not we'll lighten on the outside m, the sign does not have any lights. But other then that I think you should try it, won't be disappointed

We use to go here a lot. At first it was nice. I enjoyed the food very much and loved the resturant. With its little bar. The out door patio is a delite in the spring and summer. The problem and its a big problem is the cleanliness of the restrooms and kitcen. I noticed every time the restrooms needed much attentions. They have two bathrooms and both are labeled mens and women. Right out side the kitchen. It got to the point that a seat protector wasnt going to do the job. Or none was provided. I would have to clean the toilet and floor aroumd the toilet in order to use the restroom. (I go to a restaurant to not have to do any work especially cleaning toilets) Trash cans over run and it apeared the trash can was being used instead of paper being properly flushed. It was alway pretty busy their and my husband would tell me. Their just so busy. They had so many people in and out of that hallway area all the time. At this point we thought we would try coming during less busy hours. I ended up sick after that visit and was pretty sure it was due our visit their. The next time we went. We went when it wasn't busy at all. If it had been busy they had, had plenty of time to have done some bathroom cleaning. But they had neglected to do so. When we arrived it was a beautiful summers nights and we had our pick of where we wanted to sit. We knew excatly what we wanted so we were able to order as soon as we were seated. Got our chips and dip and our drinks and needed to use the restroom. Thought fantastic. No line, no wait, I will be right back. Could not use either one unless I did a major cleaning job. But that wasnt even possible ( as if it was my responsibility to do so any way) No toilet paper, no seat protector in either one and no hand towels. Plus while I was trying to fathom this and figure it out. One of the cook went in to the other bathroom. Used it. Left and returned to the kitchen. Neither restroom was useable. That is how fility it was. The kitchen is next to the restroom. I step into the door way of the kitchen to take a look and to see if he was going to wash his hands. He did not and the kitchen was dirty. YES ! Pretty badly. One of the waiters ask me if I needed something. I returned to our table. Where our food had alread been delivered and my husband had began eating. I told him stop eating. We are leaving. The waiter followed me back to my table. My husband was like. We are why. I explained to him in front of the waiter that the restrooms are so disquesting. No toilet paper, no paper towel and no seat protectors and human excrement and urine on the seats. It was so bad I could not go. So I need to go find a clean safe restroom to use plus. To top it off I observed one of the cooks use the filty restroom and go stright back to work and never wash his hands. So I stopped to ckeck out the kitchen and it is filty too. I said am now positive in my mine that is why I got sick after eating here the last time. We are never eating here again. We left. We have not been back and will not chance that. I do not like making negative review of this nature. But this is a health concern and should be noted this is what I observed. It dosent matter how good the food appears to be or how cute a place is or how great their service or prices are. The cleanliness of the establishment and its employees is of the utmost importance. That has to c...
