I just moved to the north from the south. I don't know the area at all but am so grateful to have found this gem. A beautiful blend of the cultures in this melting pot, smack dab in the middle of del paso heights. I got the turkey dinner over mashed potatoes with two sides of mac and cheese, cabbage, hot links, & sausages, & some cornbread. The turkey tasted just as good as it looked. The meat fell off the bones and the mashed potatoes with turkey gravy was smackin! The mac and cheese was DELICIOUS!!! It was SEASONED. Not some salty seasoned but HERBS seasoned. Mmmmm. I didn't like the cabbage and sausages bc the cabbage was overcooked and not as tasty as when the cabbage is fresh and crunchy. I also got 5 pepper papya salad & 2 hmong sausages. Sausages are fried fresh to order and they actually have real pepper. Like the kind u eat when ur at home girl!!! Hahaa. Over all my experience there was good. I'd love to come here again. So hearty & definitnely filled my...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for years, the new owners have completely failed at soul food. The mac & cheese is made with nacho cheese that’s not soul food mac & cheese, no seasoning, vinegar, or sugar just bits of bacon in the Collard greens. The catfish nuggets were ok nothing much to say just average catfish nuggets, it could have used some seasoning like garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. For tartar sauce, they hand you packets wasn’t homemade or original. There are no desserts like peach cobbler or banana pudding. The customer service was good however the entire store needs a deep clean…. Very disgusting and dirty. I would NOT recommend this place…it’s a BIG...

It's food menu is rather diverse from Asian sausage to Spaghetti to Soul Food but their best thing are their hamburgers I swear to God some of the best hamburgers in the whole state of California can be found in the hood in Del Paso...
