I played this course last Tuesday while on vacation. I had the worst experience I have ever had playing a course. The front nine were in ok shape. The greens were in rough shape and were kinda small. The back nine was great with the views of the bay. I can deal with some rough greens here and there. The reason for this review is to address Bob at the pro shop. We had completed hole 9 and went to the club house to use the rest room and get water bottles as they do not sell them at the pro shop.... (strange) additionally we had to change carts as our battery light was flashing. This was a total of 10 min max. The group of women behind us played through, we got to hole 10 and they were teeing off, we told them they were fine playing through as we had to stop. Fast forward to hole 16 there was a group of 4 women behind us, one of these ladies was married to Bob at the pro shop. We were teeing off at hole 16 when his wife left her hole and drove to our tee box and starting going off on us for jumping in the middle of their league. We tried explaining to her that we had let the ladies behind us play through, she wasnât listening and not saying nice words to us and decided to call her husband Bob at the pro shop. The lady was pretty hostile so we decided to skip the entire hole and go back up to the ladies that were in front us and go ahead of them. The ladies ahead of us apologized to us and allowed us to tee off. Right before we were about to tee off, Bob came flying up with his golf cart and starting yelling and threatening to kick us off the course, the ladies that we let pass us were trying to calm him down saying we did nothing wrong and we tried to explain to him what happened, he said fine and acted like we had never played golf before telling us we needed to not let them play through. He then got in his cart and drove off with a terrible attitude. You know the situation is bad when a lady golfing with the lady that went off on us, came over to us and apologized for her friend and how she and her husband acted. I felt completely disrespected and treated like I was a child not knowing how to play golf. I think Bob was completely out of line with his wife and how they handled this situation and really makes the course look very bad as there was a large group of people around us witnessing the whole thing. After I we finished I went into the pro shop to get Bobs name for my review, I explained I was not happy with what happened. Bob immediately got aggressive and came flying around the counter saying we needed to calm down and telling us how we need to play golf the proper way. He didnât have a leg to stand on, because he knew he and his wife had messed up. He tried saying my friend wasnât in golf attire and he could have kicked us off the course. We advised him that his polo was in the cart and he had taken it off a couple of holes before we finished due to the heat. Golfers please be aware of Bob at the pro shop and his lack of...
Read moreToday was probably one of the worst days l've ever experienced on a golf course and i've golfed all over the world! After the 9th hole we stopped the cart to get a coffee and an old lady possibly in her late 70's stormed out of the clubhouse screaming at my wife and I bragging that she's the owner of the course, unsure of her name but l believe her name was Pat shiver or something along those lines. She was shouting in front of everyone saying to us don't ever drive across the tee boxes or the greens which we definitely didn't do. She said she just watched ME drive up to the green and then straight across the 9th green but the thing is I wasn't driving the cart up to the green it was my wife by herself and it was parked at the right hand side of the outside of the green not on the green as were the guys cart in front of us and behind us who were drinking / playing loud music I might add in which I'm ok with but just saying. She obviously had a personal problem with us and I wish she could have at least addressed this in a civilized manner. She was extremely disrespectful when we arrived at the first tee also while asking for receipts to make sure we paid so to be totally honest it was then we felt like it was possibly a personal thing she had against us as my wife said she didn't feel comfortable playing this course but I said it will be fine not to worry. I've played many course's all over the world and played growing up in Ireland, you would never get treated like this on a course in Ireland or anywhere else in the world for that matter! I don't think l've ever came close to this type of disgusting behavior from anyone in my day to day life let alone on a course. Please avoid at all costs and please avoid the old lady that owns the place. My wife was so upset after the whole experience she refused to play the back nine! This was a truly awful experience and I'm going to see how I can take this further. The guy working in the pro shop was also rude - course was below average shape and extremely over priced! I'll never step foot in this place again but then again I feel like this was the owner's intention as we didn't feel welcome from start to finish. I Don't understand how this place is allowed to stay open especially with that old miserable old...
Read moreThis is by far the most unprofessional golf course we've ever been to. If you're looking for a nice course to play while on vacation, this is not it. The course was not in great shape, driving range was mostly sand and the layout is terrible. The course is cramped between electric wires, concrete walls, office buildings, apartments and parking lots. There was no beverage cart, no starter and no course marshalls managing traffic, which resulted in extremely slow play. I started to feel ill after 7 holes, so we decided to call it a day. Since we live 1500 miles away and left that evening we wouldn't be able to use a rain check, so my husband went into the pro shop to see if we could get a refund for the back 9 instead. He was told to go across the street and talk to Pat, and that's where the real issue started. My husband explained the situation and asked if it'd be possible to get a refund on the back 9, to which Pat said "I don't understand what the problem is". The problem is we're paying for something we can't use. I completely understand and respect that you have policies in place, but considering the fact that Pat is co-owner of this place, she could've used her discretion in this situation. She then scrambled and told my husband to go back to the pro shop and they'd take care of the refund. It was obvious that that was more about saving face than about doing the right thing. Not in the mood to argue over 60 bucks, he left and she followed him out. We knew right away what this place is about and should've turned around when we had the chance. It's not about the money, it was about giving her an opportunity to do the right thing. Pat seems to have a lack of empathy and it looks like we're not the only ones who feel that way, just read some of the reviews mentioning her. No course owner should ever let their paying customers leave their course the way she let us leave. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, you don't want to spend 5 hours of your vacation...
