If i could give zero star for food, I would Stopped in on the way back from St. Augustine. Had heard it was shown on Bar Rescue. The place was nice, appeared clean both bar and dining table seating. My friend and I ordered the steak special. That was their menu for the night. It comes with baked potato and veggies. What a mistake! The steaks were not cooked correctly! My medium well was still red inside and my friends medium rare was overdone. Thought maybe just mixed up. Simple, so we switched. Nope not the case! Parts of the steak were cooked more than others. Totally uneven. My friend sent hers back. New steak for her rarer but still unevenly cooked. The steaks had an over season flavor, like too much meat tenderizer was used leaving an after taste for hours. Gross! It was grizzly and very poor quality. The side veggies (corn and green beans) right out of can and again of salted and seasoned. The only redemption was the small baked potato. For bar atmosphere it's ok but would never recommend for dining. Also, my friend's dinner had French fries instead of baked potato which she didn't ask for. If this is their attempt to attract more business it's a failure! Stay away from the food!

Just received a response from the owner. They completely redo the other parties order, twice! Still was unable to get it right. The steak was terrible, unevenly cooked and flavored with tons of tenderizer ( or something) which left an after taste for hours! What I did say initially, was I was sick from the food. Definitely, avoid steak...

No, it's not fancy but it's the best steak dinner deal you will find in all of St. Augustine! We haven't been to Arnold's in a couple of years and decided to stop in for steak night. They serve a full steak dinner here every Thursday, (a ribeye steak, baked potato, corn. green beans and a roll), for $14.00. The steak is extremely flavorful and it's so tender it can be cut with a butter knife. The sides are delicious also and they also pour a strong drink here.

The server informed us that a new owner recently bought the establishment and they're in the process of remodeling. We could see an improvement already. It's not like the days of old when smoking was allowed indoors here...smoking is now outside only.

This is definitely a locals lounge/restaurant but it's a fun place to go if you're craving a great steak that won't break the bank. We did see a sign stating they will soon be serving a full menu, (including breakfast and lunch), so it will be interesting to see how...
