Chicken Scratch — Restaurant in Saint Bernard

When a new restaurant opens, I’ll go and try to spend a decent amount of money to try different meals in hopes I find a reason to come back. I spent $70 and honestly was very underwhelmed. Straight off the jump, prices are high. No exaggeration. 10 wings ran me $19.00. Their motto is “fresh food, not fast food” but after waiting 30 minutes after ordering at the counter, i was very upset to be able to say I was able to eat my food with no fight from the temperature. The chicken appeared to have been done for quite some time and the fries were Definitely not fresh and extremely soggy and floppy. The chicken wings are very average sized and despite my receipt saying “drenched” the sauce was almost nonexistent. I ordered the hot honey and the little bit of sauce I did have was good. Would I purchase it again? Solely based on price, Absolutely not. I ordered the steak Alfredo fries, fried chicken Alfredo fries, and Buffalo bacon chicken fries. The best ones were the steak Alfredo fries as it appeared to be the hottest fries as the steak appeared to have been just cooked. The Alfredo sauce is good. Nothing to rant about though honestly. Mines was extremely gritty on all 3 of my fries, not only that but they didn’t pack it on at all, so the soggy fries weren’t caused by that. Y'all have got to do better. Extremely disappointed. I placed a pickup order at 5:30pm on 3/5/24 for some surf and turf fries I was told my order would be ready at 6:10pm so I get to the store and was old by staff that my order wasn't ready and told to wait more. There was two other people about fight the staff because they had been waiting 50+ minutes for their pickup orders.... The girl bagging food had no urgency at all and was extremely dismissive. Finally after waiting almost a hour in store for my pickup order that I placed 40 minutes before I even got to the store.. I told staff to cancel my order and the girl acted bothered that I just wanted my food. There is no excuses why my pickup order wasn't fulfilled after 90 minutes. I watched other customers while I was waiting place dine in orders and get their food before mine for over 45 minutes when all I ordered was pick up fries. The staff didn't even apologize or nothing when I asked for my order to be canceled. The girl was extremely dismissive and told me my order was canceled when I didn't even get a confirmation...so I made her cancel it in front of me until I got a confirmation email. This is the second time I've been here and had horrible service. But the fact that I waited 90 minutes for a pickup order and didn't even get to have my food is extremely unacceptable and disappointing. Do better. Please...

This was my first time here. I went during lunch. It wasn't very crowded, but they did have a bit of a rush. It's a nice place. They make everything fresh so there is a little wait once u order your food. It was worth it tho. I got the 3 piece tenders. They were huge. My only issue is that for the price u pay, u don't get fries or anything with it. They should reconsider that. Even if it was $1 more. $9 for just 3 tenders by themselves is kinda crazy. The tenders need to come with a side. I also got the cajun crab fries. They were good! They give u such a large amount of crab with them. They're worth the price. With those tho, I do wish they would add more of the sauce on the fries. It's good but could use a little more. Adds just a bit more seaso ing as well. Maybe a side of the sauce next time. Either way I'll definitely be going back! There's so much more stuff on their menu I wanna try. And don't forget to grab a bottle of their housemade lemonade. I had mango and it was tasty! The staff was nice too. The woman who was running the front register was sooo nice and so sweet. She let me take my time to decide and described things to me that I asked about.
