Pros: -The location is super convenient. It is just by the library, some schools and Jaycee Playground. -The staff is nice and on their feet. -The ice cream is fresh. -They sell a super cool t-shirt for $10. Cons: -The ice cream is good, but not fantastic. Somehow I do not love their recipe. I kind of can feel the taste of the eggs too much. I can see it is made with care, I just do not like the formula. -The building itself needs some renovations. There is no reason for them to don't buy a gallon of paint that costs $30 and take care of the peeling and rusted paint in some areas to present a more attractive place. Overall I enjoy coming here.

Lyons Frozen Custard is the best! I love the family owned business. I met the wonderful ladies at the festival, through a mutual friend Brandy C. N. The Custard is so crazy and delicious. Also, the prices make sense. Wifey got the FREE Mothers Day Strawberry Shortcake, and I got the boys' small and medium cones. It was very busy on the property, but crowds seemed to come and go quickly. After Deters closed, I really missed the Mom & Pop shops. I am glad Lyons is still around.

Better than Ted Drewes? It just may be. Smooth, vanilla and chocolate custard. Not as egg-y tasting as some shops, more of a true white vanilla look and taste. Delicious. You really can’t go wrong with options. What makes them stand out are those strawberry shortcakes. Sweet and indulgent without being all fake sugar-based. The real natural flavor of strawberries comes through.

I'm giving this place 2 stars because I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. Today (fathers day) my boyfriend and I went through the drive thru at Lyons to get my dad ice cream. We waited for awhile which was expected. Once we finally got to order we got 2 large turtle sundaes, 1 large M&M concrete and 1 Reece's pieces concrete. We pull up and they had gotten our order wrong.. they forgot 1 of the large turtle sundaes. When we asked for it the girl at the window said "you only ordered one" which was rude and then kept the window open while making it and yelled to her co worker "my dog doesn't have autism!" (I guess he said something to her) which was extremely rude and disrespectful. Then they brought us a medium trutle sundae and I was just done at this point so I asked for the difference because I paid for a large. The girl turned around and goes "it's only a dollar" !!!! I usually love this place but where were all the grown ups! Get it...

My family of 5 just visited Lyons and we did not have a great experience. I ordered a banana split, my son ordered a chocolate cone, my daughters ordered a chocolate shake and a cookie dough concrete, and my husband ordered a chocolate mint cone. They gave my son his cone first. 5 minutes later They gave one of my daughters her shake. They asked if I was okay eating very ripe bananas, which was ok, then they were out of the containers that the banana split usually goes in, so I accepted a smaller container. The strawberries were gross, and one was so bad that it made my tongue tingle. 5 minutes later, the other daughter got her concrete. Then 5 minutes after that my husband got his cone but it was missing mint and the cone was barely filled and stale. We paid about $20 and it took 25 minutes to get all of our orders. Within minutes my daughter and I's belly...
