My family and I stopped here for dinner around 9pm on August 1st, during our 12 hour road trip from Ohio to Kansas. It was 49 dollars to feed my family of 4, so I was pretty disappointed with the prices.
They were not busy at all, but we waited nearly 40 minutes for our food. And another 10-15 minutes to get what we actually paid for. At first we were not given are cups for drinks. We had to wait several minutes for somebody to come up front so we could ask for our drinks. There was another family up there who had a wrong order, so we took a look at our own order to find that we were also missing stuff. My dad had 2 orders of 2 chicken tenders and there was only one in the bag, and my large nacho fries were missing. We had 2 nacho fries total on the order, and only one in the bag. I politely told the young lady that we were missing those two things and she insisted that she put the chicken tenders and nacho fries in the bag, and I said "Yeah, but we ordered two, and there's only one of each in the bag". And that was when another customer came up to the counter with a wrong order. My family stood there for several more minutes letting the rest of our food get cold as we waited for the two items we were missing. After several more minutes, I watched the employee put the chicken tenders and fries in the bag and start walking over to the counter so I ask "Shouldn't there be cheese for the Nacho Fries?" And she was obviously frustrated by that. She gets the cheese and then slams the bag on the counter.
And my food was alright, but definitely the worst I've had from taco bell. My crunch wrap was flat like a pancake for some reason. At first I thought I was given a quesadilla by mistake, but no. It was my crunch wrap. They did leave the sour cream off like I asked, so that's something to be happy about I suppose. And my Nacho fries were fresh, but way too much seasoning. It was to the point where it was kinda gross to eat.
So if you plan on eating here, be warned: The employees can't count to two, whoever makes the crunch wraps thinks they work at ihop, and expect a long wait, for the wrong order, and another wait for what ordered. And If you actually manage to convince them to give you what you paid for, don't be surprised if they...
Read moreI am already not a fan of their kiosk only ordering when visiting in person. Nobody greets you. All you see are signs that say order using the kiosk and if we have questions, one of their members are happy to help. Fortunately, I am tech savvy and knew how to place an order. I ordered a Mexican Pizza combo and an order of pinto beans. While I was waiting, an older lady came in and stood at the counter, thinking she was supposed to place her order there. She stood there for a while and none of the workers acknowledged her. I told her that she needed to use the kiosk to order, and she said she didn't know how. I looked over my shoulder to see if a staff member was around to help, but that was a big NO. I went ahead and helped her order, and when it was time to pay, she didn't know how to use the debit card machine. She was struggling, and I could bare to watch it. She appeared confused and as though she wanted to cry.
I just paid for her order with my card to help ease her anxiety.
This is the exact reason why we still need human beings working at a register so they can provide customer service. Not one time did any of the workers acknowledge their customers until it was time to call out the name and pass off the order. Awful, just awful. I could hear the employees talking and cursing as they worked. While the food was fresh and good, the service sucked. I had to ask for a for my cup for the drink. I then had to ask for a fork and they said they didn't have any forks, spoons or knives.
I thought I was being pranked. I just kept my cool and remained cordial. This clearly is a management issue. Moving on...
The lobby was dirty and the fountain drink area was scary. You can see black build up around the drain gates. Then there was this big wash tub under the soda fountain and I don't know why. Trash in the drain, etc. See fornyoirself, I took...
Read moreI placed a mobile order and waited in the lobby for 23 minutes without any acknowledgment from an employee. Despite knowing there were customers in the lobby (two small parties), the employees in the kitchen were loudly complaining about making orders. I can understand the stress if they were extremely busy, but there were no cars in the drive-thru, and only four customers total in the lobby.
It made me wonder if they were even trying to prepare food because the few customers in the lobby, including myself, were waiting for a long time without receiving any food. After waiting for what felt like forever, I finally worked up the courage to ask an employee about the status of my order. That’s when I found out they hadn’t even started on it and didn’t seem to realize it was in the system.
I also felt bad for an elderly couple who came in to place an order. The employee told them they no longer take orders at the counter, only through the kiosk. If that’s the policy, I understand, but at least offer to assist customers who may not be familiar with using new technology.
At the very least, there should be some level of professionalism and pride in your work.
One positive: the food...
