Employees were really nice, the restaurant was really clean (which isn't always easy when the building is really old) the ice cream cone was huge and delicious. The french fries were nice and crisp, salted just right, they really were just cooked perfectly. Then there was my crispy chicken salad.... $6.00 after tax for shredded iceberg lettuce, a few huge circular slices of tomato, a tiny bit of cheddar, and a thing of croutons. I wasn't expecting anything fancy like with spinach or kale or like spring mix but c,Mon.. finely shredded iceberg lettuce. The chicken tenders they use for the crispy chicken were really good, could have been more on the "salad" for that price.
EDIT- IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS REPLY I changed my rating to 5 stars. The owners didn't need to reply to my review or offer an explanation as to why they make the decisions they make but it should go to show customers (it surely showed me) how much they care about their business. If I could make a suggestion... Offer some sort of description for certain things on the menu so customers know exactly what they...
Read moreNot consistent. Tenderloin tastes like what I imagine cardboard tastes like. After that experience, I decided ice cream only and only once in a while. So this past Saturday I went to Cabana right at 11 am. I was the first customer at the drive thru. I ordered a medium peanut plunge. It was the first time I had ordered this. It came in a clear plastic bowl with a domed lid. It was delicious and worth the price. It was so good in fact, that I decided to treat myself to a large the next day. What I got on Sunday at 5pm was a 16 or 20 oz Styrofoam drink cup. I informed the sweet little girl at the drive thru. Same girl took my order both days. I was told by at least 4 of the employees that is the large. Basically what i have here is a cup of hot fudge with a little bit of ice cream that is liquefied and some peanuts thrown on tpp. GROSS! Horrible food, horrible service. I am never...
Read moreSo, not to be a Debby downer, but service and overall delivery has went a little downhill. Maybe it's because of the training, but when I worked in fast-food, it was tught very early that when dealing with customers, saying please and thank you was imperative. When asking for payment, a please! When receiving a payment, a thank you. When handing food to a customer, a thank you. Each time I go, someone is always just shoving the food into my window, the a door close. Food is not packed correctly, Chilli cheese fries leaking out the bottom of the bag, because someone dropped them in a much smaller bag that they should go into. The "towns tallest cones" are all about the same size, regardless of what you ordered. It would be great of the young crew could get some guidance on these things, to set them up for better success. Over my...
