So this is my first experience eating here and started out ok ended bad. I'm gonna try to keep it short but I began with asking question about their stir fry gyro and the cashier wasn't very friendly but she said it's popular so I ordered it. Once my food arrived it looked and smelled amazing! After the 2nd bite I realized it was VERY SALTY! I mean beyond edible SALTY. I spoke with the owners daughter and she said that's the way it is and she would switch it out for the Gyro sandwich. The owner an older women then comes over with an attitude asking what's wrong? I explained and she basically said that's what you ordered, thats the way stir fry is, she offered to give me a little plain rice to add to it. I did ask them to try it from the other side of the plate that I did not touch and they declined. She proceeded to rudely tell me that if I wanted to get something else I would need to pay for it cause they already made my food. I declined and told her forget it all, she can keep the plate and I won't order here again. My cousin then tried to come over and explain that she even tried it and it was inedible. The mother was so rude to her as well. My cousin then asked for a refund which she said no. We decided to leave it alone and we shared my cousins order which I will say was good but the staff left a nasty taste in my mouth. Her daughter came over about 15 min later and said ok here we refunded your meal and I'm sorry my mom is in a bad mood and we have had customers that eat all their food then complain and ask us for a refund. Sooooooo what does that have to do with me? I only had 2 bites and my entire plate was...
Read moreI tried this place for the first time after reading good reviews, but sadly wasnât impressed. I picked up a Street Doner Wrap with gyro meat for lunch as many had said fantastic things about it and as a first timer, I usually go for the fan favorite.
Generous portion for sure, however, the Lebanese bread used as the wrap had an oddly soft/chewy texture (Iâm sure itâs how itâs supposed to be, just not for me,) gyro meat was quite bland and chewy as well, and I would have liked it to be cut in half but I just did it myself when I got home. People rave about the garlic sauce and while it was good, itâs nothing to tell your friends about. Maybe itâs better eating there, but itâs quite tight, and the atmosphere doesnât really read âeat here.â Prices were fair and normal and I was in and out in a minute.
Overall, this is your typical casual take out middle eastern place with a bit of Greek in there, and is on par with Falafel King and The Naughty Greek (which makes sense as itâs the same owner as TNG,) both quite meh but okay in a pinch. I wouldnât call it a Greek restaurant nor do they label themselves as that either. However, if youâre looking for the same style food and a lot of the same dishes such as pita sandwiches, gyro, falafel, etc I recommend making the trek to South Mpls and picking up Christos instead, which is much more authentic and...
Read moreI have come to the Ariana Kabob and Gyro three times now. The first time, I was greeted with the Gyro Cheese Fries with the everything on them, a large amount of gyro meat, cheese, and vegetables piled on top of some of the best fries I had. The food came out so hot that I couldn't eat it. I didn't even need the vegetables, the amount of food was massive enough by itself.
The second time, I got the chicken shawarma. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken is tender and goes well with the tzatziki sauce. It's juicy and packed full of flavor - probably some of the best chicken shawarma I have.
The spicy option on the chicken shawarma tastes great, but is definitely not for the faint of heart. It's well worth the fifty cents - though I do wish I paid for some extra garlic sauce or tzatziki to go with it to cut the heat.
The rewards program is also very economical; I have only eaten here three times, and already earned a $5.60 discount on the third order.
I have eaten here three times. All three times I have been blown away by the service of the food, the speed at which it has come out, and the price I paid for it. I will keep coming back here. You should come too.
UPDATE: I have since had the Spicy Apollo Plate. It was definitely spicy, but it was phenomenal. I havenât had a miss on...
