I love Mississippi Market; everything about it is absolutely amazing. Every time I visit, I am impressed by the great selection and the strong sense of community. There’s nothing I enjoy more than knowing that when I shop, I am part of a community that offers amazing local, fresh produce and locally sourced meat and dairy. Each visit is an adventure. The staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and eager to help me find new and exciting things. I can't say enough about how this community makes me feel and how much I love shopping there each time I go.

My only gripe is the LACK of Pac-Man shapes pasta. Booooooooo! Aside from that, we have been living in the neighborhood for a few months and within the first month we became members. Great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The store is clean and the employees seem happy and as though they are enjoying themselves. Keep up the good work and we'll keep supporting you 👏 👍

The ingredients on their own brand doesn't match the sign. Also, not sure why their second principle posted on their wall has to be politically motivated. There are independents and conservatives with similar values - they exist and are valid too.

First let me say I worked here for 18 uncomfortable days. Oh where to begin. Does anyone here even know food safety. Omg there is visible mold and mildew in the deli department around the sinks that they prepare food and wash dishes. Alot of the dishes have a film of grease on them from improper washing. The water in the hot case of cool wells was never cleaned or dumped. The plastic cutting boards in the meat department are black from not being cleaned. They need to be cleaned with block whitener bleach basically. Think of the bacteria on them. Also improper storage of meat products. There is the constant repackaging of food product cheese and meat both. They breakdown the original packaging repack it and sell it to the public at a much higher price. This is the only retail place I have worked at where they repackage product. Then there is storage issues. Food products stored on the floor or wood pallets making it real easy for rodents and bugs to crawl into. It does not take a genius to know you don't store food this way. Mostly it is bulk products. There are many more food safety issues but I dont have the inclination to write all of them. Just be glad they are not cutting meat any more and the meat case is closed. The store only gets really cleaned well a couple times a week. There is one person who comes in and cleans really well on those days. Just think public toilets get cleaned twice a week. Pay the ticket and pee outside. This place makes there employees park out on the streets when there is a big lot that is never full. This is a great idea when its mostly young ladies closing the store at night in the dark with only limited cameras. Real good for safety. You will notice in my letter from them they list parking OMG. There is also the fact that the Store Director lies and covers up these issues. I would ask questions she would give flipped answers Im not sure she even knows the answers.Laura is also not very trustworthy when it comes to dealing with employees. Very fake attitude. I dont think that the employees need to know how or when to vote. There was an email sent out to that effect. Reminding everyone that the coop is democratic. Then there is the matter of only a couple minorities working here and not many shop here. It has been pointed out that I was let go one day after they found out my life partner is African American maybe it was coincidence but Im not convinced. I have added pictures of emails sent out. I also have to add that I was the oldest and the biggest employee there. Maybe the case could be made they dont like fat bald old guys. In her email to me you will note that Laura states there is no room for me at meeting. I take great offense to this being a larger person. It made me feel very uncomfortable. It does truly sadden me that I was kicked out of there community, just like the Tribe has spoken on the t.v. show Survivor. The unpleasantness is over. I am happy that I no longer work here or shop here and best of all NEVER became a member. ITS TO BAD THERE IS ALOT OF POTENTIAL HERE BUT FAR TO MANY ISSUES. AGAIN YOU WILL NOTICE IN THE LETTER FROM THEM PARKING, THE OTHER ISSUE THEY STATE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. THE ISSUES...

Horrible place for lunch. I ordered a carrot/beet/kale/cucumber juice from the juice bar and after only 1/3 of the drink it burned my throat and 8hrs later and it still hurts to swallow. I went back to the juice bar and asked them what else they put in it and they were clueless. (Maybe the cucumber skins?). I only drank a few sips but they didn’t offer to rerun it. I asked for a water and then bought an apple and a panini to try to stop the burning. The wait time for the panini was over 20 minutes and watching the inefficiency of how they make sandwiches was difficult. They tried to make 4 at a time and they do far too much walking back and forth trying to remember what to do, bumping into each other and oblivious to who had what sandwich. There were only 4 of us! The veggie panini was small and tasteless (maybe my scorched throat affected the taste). This płace has gone down hill and there is no urgency or attention to quality. Above all i’m upset about my throat and am having this unpleasant experience. I’ll stick to juice bars at the wedge coop and Seward coop and...

I went to Mississippi Market on the morning of my son's funeral as the funeral home had told me the flowers we ordered still hadn't been brought there so I went in to Mississippi Market to just buy flowers and I realized that there were no water in with the flowers so the flowers they had we're dying so I asked the cashier if I could please get a discount and they did not argue with me they then apologize for no water being in the buckets they fill the buckets immediately with water cut all the flowers back and then stuck them back in the water and they gave me half price on all the flowers which I thought was very nice and considerate especially since I hadn't told him what a horrible day it was and my son was being buried they did a great job of customer service and for that I give them five stars because anymore I believe it's the customer service that keeps bringing me back not always great prices I need to retreated fairly and with respect and they did that above and beyond so thank you so much Mississippi Market I...
