This is a quality establishment. Stopped in as we were walking by at 11pm on a Saturday; it caught our eye because it was bustling even so late at night. We were not disappointed; the food, the atmosphere, and the service were exceptional, exceeding all expectations. In fact, I’d say this is a true gem. The combination of the plentiful menu, reasonable prices, and attention to quality really left an impression. I can’t to be back.
Okay, let’s start with the food. I really can’t complain about anything we got. The sesame chicken wings were delicious; the wings and legs they used were of great quality, tender, meaty, and juicy—not the cheap stuff. They were also prepared very well: fresh, hot, crispy, and saucy. The hot and sour soup was hearty, bold and hit the spot as an appetizer. The teriyaki chicken skewers we’re just the right amount of sweet and a bit charred and crispy the way I like, not rubbery like it is at some other places. The double cooked pork was very flavorful and came in a hearty portion which made great leftovers. The baby bok choy and garlic sauce was also delicious and fresh; I highly recommend it as a pairing to any meat dish you get.
The restaurant environment itself is very spacious, clean, bright, and well-maintained. there is an indoor koi pond right as you walk in and intricate decorations that really add to the experience. We were very glad we stopped in and left feeling very happy.
The staff and overall service were notably friendly, attentive, helpful, and fast. I have no complaints; they do a great job taking care of the guest. I felt welcome and taken care of. This place is very well managed and it shows. I can’t wait to be back to try more of their menu. And it is absolutely amazing that they’re open late; we need more...
Read moreI am usually quite patient when I see that restaurants are understaffed or busy but the service my family and I were provided this evening was quite upsetting. Having been dining for nearly an hour and a half, we were disregarded almost entirely after we received our food. While tables of groups of 9-10 that were just as large as our table who were seated after us were being attended to, no one came by our table to ask if we were enjoying our dinner, or if we needed refills for our drinks, or if we needed anything. We had dirty plates and silverware upon our arrival as well. It wasn't until we were completely done with our dinner and having our cups and teapots nearly empty did they come by to clear away everything and give us refills. I was also taken aback with how the servers serving our food were somewhat slamming the dishes on the table which was pretty rude. Being a birthday dinner gathering for my grandmother, we were still disregarded for some time near the end for us to cut the cake that we brought; that I ended up having to get up from our table and ask the bus boy for a cutting knife--in which was laying on the buffet bar. Paying a large sum for our dinner for 11 people, I feel, was a bit much with the service we received. The food was decent and we still enjoyed our time together but there needs to be improvement on how to prepare for unexpected rush of customers coming in. It seemed like they didn't think it would be busy, although it was a Friday evening, and became overwhelmed once multiple groups of parties started coming in. We are only here in town for the weekend so we won't be back...
Read moreYes, it was my family that walked out from this restaurant today. Today was Mother’s Day and we also tried to celebrate my 2 kids’ birthday as well. We were there and waiting for an hour and thirty minutes but we still didn’t get our food. Tables after us had gotten their food but not us. 2 tables that came after us got their food before us and when I asked the waitress, she said they were working on it. It didn’t make sense for our food to not be ready within that one hour and a half that we waited. However, I did put $4 on the table just for the hot tea that we drank, just to be nice.
This is not the first time. Another time was last year when we went out to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. The restaurant did the same thing. We waited for 45 minutes and still they didn’t call us to sit. They called people before us and after us. There was a family that came after us and had as many people as our family yet they received a table before us. We complained to the front desk person then left the restaurant and today they still did the same thing back to us. I’ll never recommend anyone I know to this restaurant again. This is the worst service I have ever encountered. This message goes straight to the owner of the restaurant. You might be good but your workers and services are very poor. Again, the worst service I ever encountered in my whole life. Everyone shouldn’t need to go there anymore, there are many other restaurants out there guys. If you, the owner, are not happy with my message here feel free to talk me. You don’t even...
