I showed up at around 12:30 on 8-20-2021 and the place was dead. However, I had a good experience the last time I was here so maybe it's the new location? Maybe it's the pandemic? There's one couple that have already been waited on when I arrived. My wife and I are from out of town and she's Chinese so we try to stop at more authentic Chinese places when we're around big cities. She wasn't with me this time but the menu had apparently changed with the location. Odd. I waited in the dining room for 50 minutes on my order. Remember, there was only that one couple that had already ordered when I walked in. It was during this extended period of reflection I realized, this isn't the same Little Szechuan at all. That Little Szechuan is / was in Madison. Well, that's not their fault, it's it? Anyway... I could've robbed the place blind. I was alone in the dining room for almost 25 minutes before the waitress came in for a brief moment but it was just to pass from the kitchen to the bathroom. The phone rang for several minutes and I thought about answering it and telling the customer not to waste their time. Luckily for them, nobody answered. I say "luckily" because my Hunan Chicken was awful. Severely overcooked to the point it was rubbery. I could have turned around and asked for a refund or a re-fry but it was a 3 hour drive home and I already waited an hour for my food. The only thing preventing this from being a one star is the store is very clean and the staff (when you see them) is friendly. Included photo is from around 12:45 of the entire store.

My first time trying hot pot here and I enjoyed it. It’s a good alternative to my regular hotpot place if I didn’t want to drive to MPLS. The service was quick, attentive and very nice. We were sat immediately on Friday night, as dinner progressed the restaurant eventually filled up but there wasn’t a wait. I ordered the Tom Yum soup base, they have the $5 and the $10 options. $5 option is more than plenty for two people. For sides we had sirloin beef, chicken meatballs, pork belly, udon noodles and Japanese pumpkin. I highly recommend ordering the pork belly, you can’t really go wrong with pork belly in hotpot. If you have tried Japanese pumpkin take this occasion and try it, the flavor is sweet, buttery, savory- comparable to a sweet potato sans the texture. As for the Tom yum broth- it was okay, I wouldn’t recommend it, Tom Yum usually has a distinct taste of sour, fragrant and a bit spicy- on this occasion I did order mike per preference of my guest- BUT, the soup definitely lacked the usual Tom Yum taste. I would be back to try the other soups. **Tip** There is a sauce station along the wall: mix it all together- and add extra cilantro. I love cilantro. Cup of ice cream is included with your meal, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Help yourself from the freezer.

We (4 adults and a baby) came for "Dinner." We got there around 4pm. It wasn't busy but it looked like there weren't many staff working either. I saw two people in the dining area. All the booths were taken. We chose to sit at a table so no wait time. We waited for 15-20 minutes before I waved a staff to get our order. Once the order was put in, the food came out quickly. Back kitchen staff were quick! It's 35.99 for AYCE per person. They had a large selection on base broth and items to cook in the hotpot. We got the healthy broth (bone broth) and spicy broth (hot). There is a condiment bar, chili oil, soy sauce, etc. Service was bad. No one refilled water or asked us if we wanted anything else. I literally got up and asked for a pitcher of water and refilled our own cups. I had to track down staff to get a second order of meats and vegetables. We were charged 17% Tip. Not sure if that's normal but considering they didn't do anything except bring out our food not sure why we were charged. They also charged me for using my card. Overall, I really enjoyed their food but I don't think I'd go back with poor services yet being charged tip AND card usage fee.

Honestly, my husband and siblings love to come here to eat hotpot but these last two times have made me very disappointed. The last time i came to eat with my sister and a friend and we were ready to pay the bill when the manager I believe Jay is his name came over and explained to us that we need to keep in mind how much we ordered this time so next time we don’t over order and waste food and make him lose money. Don’t get me wrong we did not want to waste food and we happened to order a bit over this time, but having been here multiple times before we knew we would have to pay a fee and we were okay with that. He was of course nice enough to not charge us but I feel like it ruined my experience, I would’ve just been fine with paying for the wasted food instead of pretty much being lectured. Today I went again and we got our broth and it was extra oily so I scooped some out. Again when Jay came to take it he asked if we were going to keep the oil. I’m confused because I don’t know who would consume that much oil. I told him we did not want the oil and he said next time to order and say less oil ( which we did not know was an option in the first place) because not wanting the oil will make him lose more money, again we did not know it was an option to have less oil if we want it extra spicy. Of course if we’d have known we can request less oil we would’ve. So I’m disappointed that both times this owner felt comfortable enough to tell his customers about how much money we are causing him to lose. You shouldn’t have to go to a restaurant almost afraid or worrying about if you’re going to get talked to for food that’s not finished or oil that you don’t feel is appetizing. It’s sad thats how they treat...

$29.99 for #allyoucaneat meats including unlimited grilled meat stick items (FIVE STARS FOR FOOD) for the amount of food & cuts of meat. The enoki mushrooms are super refreshing. For the grilled meat sticks, we got pork belly, lamb & chicken gizzards-all very delicious. We also got calamari, crawfish (which comes frozen), udon noodles, enoki & oyster mushrooms, beef, beef sirloin, lamb, shrimp, zucchini & clams-all very good! The crab fish were eh, since they’re not fresh, but still ok. NO STARS for service. When we got there, we were the ONLY diners in the restaurant. Following us, came three more tables, four in the whole restaurant. The server, paid no attention to any of the tables. She rarely frequented the floor, was on her phone & inattentive. There was one server, & I must say, it’s time to get a new job. Ready for our next orders, she’d take ten or so minutes to bring us another order sheet, & more moments later came our food. Not cool.

So we’ve been back since, three time diners now. Because the food is delicious. The all you can eat is a great price, but service for this place has not changed. The last time we were here, we sat thirsty, cups empty & watched as the four owners/servers as they ate hot pot themselves. It’s always like this. We made eye contact a few times, & still no refill. I really don’t understand how this place stays in business when the service is so horrendous. People must go back for the same reason we do, the food. Advice, if you’re going to visit, order a shiz ton at once, cause the likelihood of someone coming to check on you till they’re ready to gather their tip, is...

BEWARE FOOD POISONING Wouldn’t recommend, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for bad quality food. tables were wiped with dry towels, no cleaner or disinfectant, mixed up our orders multiple times, tried to give us a single table with one pot for 11 people. specifically let them know one of us was vegetarian and needed their items separate, and they kept bringing theirs out on the same plates as meat, half of the items that they “offer” were crossed out and not available. some of the meat items was gray and tasted off like it went bad, didn’t offer us any drinks at all, we had to ask 3 times to be able to order anything to drink, took forever for food to come out, half of the time what they brought out was wrong, food was bland, hotpot bases were flavorless, & when it came to pay, they added their own 17% tip, then pointed to MORE tipping options and said “you need to add more tip here”, 17% mandatory tip when there was basically no service? Came up to us maybe a total of 2 times and just snatched the menu sheet from us, 17% for that service? Sheesh. Thankfully I had been to hotpot in Florida a few times before this and knew what to do because they didn’t say a single thing about it. Everyone else was confused as it was their first time. was planning on tipping more just out of kindness, but was extremely upset at the fact that they basically insisted on us tipping EVEN more after already adding on their own 17% tip which was already hundreds, got home an hour later and started to not feel well, spent the entire night throwing up, 8/11 of us ended up with...
