Yesterday, I came here to send $400 to my grandma in Vietnam so that she could buy medicine. Before I left my house, I counted my money twice to make sure I brought the correct amount I wanted to send. When I arrived, the husband (owner) counted the money in front of me, and it showed $400. Since I’ve used their service for over a year without issue, I trusted them and didn’t double-check the receipt.
The next day, my family in Vietnam told me they only received $300. I returned with my receipt and politely asked the owners to review the cameras or system. Instead of checking, the owner was rude to me in front of others, accused me of “always complaining” (this was my first complaint), and refused to even look into it. I was keeping the situation small, yet he chose to raise his voice so that everyone around us could hear. It was clear he wanted to embarrass me for questioning him.
A good business should listen to the full story, investigate mistakes, and treat customers with respect. Instead, I was met with rudeness and defensiveness. If nothing was wrong on their side, why not verify? Why attack my character? Accuracy, honesty, and professionalism are important in money transfer services, especially when families depend on it.
At this point, they can keep the missing $100. It’s sad that they needed it more than my family in Vietnam. Looking at the past reviews of their money transfer service, I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner tries to deflect. It’s always the thieves that get the most defensive. I will not be returning and would caution others to carefully check receipts and consider other, more...
Read moreI have shopped here for a long time now on and off. The last visit prompts me to write a review. They have not been very good with keeping tabs on food expiration. All of their rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves were MOLDY. There are no expiration dates on a lot of items. I bought some cakes that were clearly marked at a certain price and after i had checked out and looked at my receipt did i noticed the prices per item were significantly higher than what was advertized. I brought it up and the owner comes out and treated me like i was crazy or trying to get a discount. He said "none of those items are ever that price". I asked him if it would make sense to have the correct pricing so customers know what they are buying and all he said was "so you want to return it or what?" So i returned the items and left. Never have i been so rudely treated at this place and this was the OWNER! Moldy food, lazy dishonest pricing, rude condescending owner and poor customer service has resulted in me never returning to this place again. I would give 0...
Read moreThe best banh mi in Minnesota. Seriously. My parents are from Saigon and this banh mi is their number one, both in taste and value. You can't go wrong with which banh mi you choose. The service is as quick as can be in the deli. I also love the oyster sauce wings!!! If you're not familiar with vietnamese food and want to explore you can literally pick up any item and know it's authentic and well made.
In regards to the grocery store itself you'll find that it has a smaller selection compared to similar and nearby asian markets. It's also more expensive, for example a box of mochi is $5 here while at Sun Foods and Shuang Hur it's $2. The produce is marginally more expensive, but I bring up the other example to show that sometimes items can be more than twice as expensive as nearby spots. I don't come here for the groceries, so it's a moot...
