BEWARE! WAITRESS NAMED LINDSEY A. WILL INCREASE HER TIP WITHOUT YOU KNOWING WHEN USING A CREDIT CARD TO PAY. Might want to keep your receipts and check your bank statements when you go there at Station 280. It was my second time there and I will never ever go back. Their waitresses will not charge the tip you wrote down on the receipt, instead they increase the tip. I’m one to keep all my receipts and check my statements afterwards. Although she didn’t increase the tip by much, she didn’t go by what I had given her and wrote as a tip on the receipt. I emailed the company and waited about 3 wks to get a response from the manager and they clearly don’t care about their customers or the fact that their waitresses steal from customers. Although it wasn’t by much, if she is doing this on a busy day with all her customers like the day I was there, it adds up. It isn’t about the money but the principle, and it is still stealing no matter how little the amount is if she is charging more than what the customers wrote down as a tip. LINDSEY A. & MGR AT STATION 280, SHAME ON YOU. THIEVES.
Let me add, we were ignore for the first 15-20 mins. we sat down. The food is also only mediocre. So if you don’t care about waitresses stealing from you, it’s not even worth going there based on food and customer service.
Update: After writing this review, I also wanted to leave one on YELP as well to warn as many people as I can. I guess they’ve been doing this for quite some time. Read Elaine X’s review on here. Why am I not shocked this happened to someone else. Looks like it’s the norm there. Like she did, I also called to speak with a manager and no one answered either, that's why I emailed them and still no response. PEOPLE STOP GOING THERE! THEIR STAFF OBVIOUSLY STEAL...
Read moreWhen my group first arrived we picked a seat, after we were sitting down for about 20 minutes or so we were finally greeted by our server Kaylie O. took our drink orders, after about 15 minutes we finally got our drink orders. She forgot the lime in two drinks, she CARRIED OUR LIMES OVER WITH HER BARE, UNWASHED HANDS OVER TO OUR DRINKS AND PLACED THEM IN! I understand bartenders do this but i at least would like the semi fantasy that they don't and maybe use tongs. After another 25 mins she comes over and ask about our order, after receiving our orders we wait another 30 mins for our food and the order isn't even fully correct. After eating our food and discarded our limes, our group tried to move to a both. Asking our waitress politely if it was possible for us to move she response was "Well I rather you wouldn't." It definitely was rude, I understand it is hard to move a table to another area and the bar system may not allow her without closing our tab but her response was unnecessary. After asking to close our tab which took her another 25 mins, we noticed her talking to the bar/wait staff for 10 straight minutes of those 25. We finally closed our tabs, she also didn't bring the blue cheese dipping sauce until she closed our tabs... like really you had to wait the last minute to finish our order. After switching area and getting a new waitress everything was great until the waitress DID THE SAME THING WITH THE LIMES. Maybe its a bar policy, if so it need to change because it is gross and disgusting. I am very disappointed with HYGIENE and also POLITENESS of this bar. Will probably...
Read moreI have visited Station 280 just once so far, but it was a fantastic visit.
I ordered the sirloin steak dinner with mashed potatoes and seasonal grilled vegetables.
The veggies and the steak stood out.
About the veggies: they were crisp yet tender. There was broccoli, onion slices, carrot slices, and green bell peppers.
Regarding the steak, I ordered it cooked medium well. It was warm/hot after I got back to my table a a few minutes after it arrived—I was finishing up a round of Buck Hunter when the food arrived—which is how like it. It had an excellent, grilled/charred outside and a tender, lean inside. There was no gristle or fat deposits and that is how I like my sirloin.
The mashed potatoes were just regular mashed potatoes but that’s not a complaint.
The atmosphere is casual but the bar and dining area is tidy. I will say that there was a significant amount of spray paint graffiti in the men’s room. I blame that on anonymous jerks though, not Station 280.
I looked at their burgers and the prices seemed a little high at $14.99-if I recall correctly-but the menu says they are nearly half a pound each which sounds generous. I didn’t order a burger. Maybe I will another time.
One final note: Station 280 has a special each day. The street taco special sounded good! It was on a different day than I...
