I rarely leave negative reviews for restaurants, but this place deserves the rating I'm giving it. I only give 2 stars because the food was OK. I was in the area and decided to get something to eat. I didn't want fast food, so I thought I'd try a local Chinese place. I found New Ho's and pulled up, hoping to dine in. The flashing neon sign said open, but when I walked up, another hand made sign said dining room closed, Pick-up only. So I went back to my car and ordered hot'n Sour soup and beef and broccoli. This was at 5:11 pm. I wasn't given a wait time, or told how to know when my order would be ready. I'm used to First Wok near my home, where our wait is usually 15 to 20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes on a really busy day. At 6:15 pm I was still waiting. I never got a call, or an update from the Order app. At 6:30, I decided to go knock on the door as it was locked. No one in the restaurant would even look up, let alone answer the door. I decided to call and the girl sitting 10 feet from the door, puts down the cell phone she was playing on, gets up, walks back to the counter and answers the phone. I ask her the status of my order and she tells me it is there. A woman then brings the order to the door. No soup spoon, fork or chopsticks included. The food was OK, nothing special, although it wasn't hot anymore either, so who knows how long it was sitting there. For the price that I paid, the portion size was very small from what I'm used to as well. The quality of the food wasn't enough to justify putting up with bad service, high price, and mediocre portion size. I won't be going back to this...
Read moreMy coworker ordered food for Me, Herself & Another coworker Totaling $25 which was not bad at all. They let us know that the wait was 45 mins to an hour. We are located exactly 4 minutes away from the restaurant but was not able to leave to pick it up so we agreed to the wait. My coworker paid for our meals from her debit card and we paid her back in cash and other forms of payments. I gave her extra cash for tips or other things we may have needed. When the order came the delivery driver called my cell and I went to grab the food. When going to grab the food, the delivery driver started ranting that we didn’t provide him a tip and though I know I did my part he wanted me to write a tip on the tip line on the receipt . I informed him that the card did not belong to me however I’d thought about going back into our job to grab extra cash. Before I could speak or tell the delivery driver anything he yelled at me and told me that he’d never deliver to us again and that times were hard. Because of his abusive language and yelling I will never shop here again. The food was good but the disrespect was a lot in front of my professional work place. The coworker who paid; I let her know what happened and she called the company. The wife of the delivery driver assured her that he was sorry. My coworker communicated we’d drop his tip off once we are off work considering she’d thought that gratuity or delivery driving was included . I still will not...

Pork Fried Rice Beef Lo Mein - No cabbage "Crab" Rangoon
Fried rice was decent, and better than most of the other places in the area. Still not up to par with what I remember fried rice being 15 years ago, but definitely better than most St. Peters places.
Lo Mein was actually quite good, maybe a little salty even for me, but definitely delicious. My beef had some bits of crushed garlic on it, and let me tell you that was a very pleasant surprise.
The Crab Rangoon is the more.... Cheesy kind. Some places the cream cheese is sweet, this is definitely more Cheesy versus sweet. I prefer the cheesy kind myself. As you would expect no crab except maybe a little red spot in random bites.
This will be my goto location when around the house for now, although I really need to try more dishes to give a real review.
The best I've had in the STL area so far is a place off Bellefountain and 270, if I'm out thats my destination, if I'm home it will...
