Skyway Cafe — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Well let me tell you what my experience was. The wife and I decided we were going out to breakfast although she is a vegan 100% she decided that she wanted to have street tacos at the vegan place directly next door I wanted to have a traditional breakfast. I saw skyway Cafe I never seen before I told my wife after she placed her order at the vegan place next door that I was going to walk over and order me some breakfast. I was in the midst of making my order I ordered a coffee or water and I was still deciding over what I wanted for breakfast. My wife showed up and sat down at the table we were sitting outside, the rudest lady I take it maybe the owner or manager or whoever she was came over to us and told us she appreciates that we brought our own meal but she told us that she doesn't appreciate it and that it's against their policy and that she was going to have to ask us to leave. She would not serve me breakfast because the wife had a meal that she was eating all the wife ordered a coffee and a water and I was ordering breakfast for myself she wouldn't permit us to do just that. The atmosphere at this place was rude crude and Un-American lake to say the least she showed me an unpleasurable side of her company or skyway Cafe. I would say to all beware this place definitely is only about money and not about their customers and definitely doesn't care about anything but money in their pocket. What a horrible place I would never conduct business here and I hope anyone with the logical mind wouldn't do so either. Unless you want to be treated unfairly unhuman like I only gave Stars just to make this comment they get zero stars for me a thumbs down 👎 in the public...

Wanted to get some breakfast and heard many good things about this cafe. The location is not too bad as it's right by two highways and a residential apartment area. From the outside the cafe does show it's age with faded lettering and older outdoor furniture. The interior also feels very dated and confusing from the tropical window paintings to the Italian wall mounts for plants. Sitting at a booth I noticed that the seat wasn't the cleanest and the lamp overhead was dusty. Definitely could work on the cleaning. After I sat down I was greatest with a simple menu of classic breakfast, lunch, & dinner Americana options at not a bad price either. They even have a breakfast special from 7am - 8:30 am that offers lighter portions at a more affordable price! I ordered the Gordos Quesadilla for breakfast with home fries and a diet Pepsi. Sadly the quesadilla did not have any alternative protein options like the breakfast burrito so it was bacon, egg, and cheese only. The taste of the quesadilla by itself was mixed with bland to tasty as the bacon to egg ratio was off. Luckily this quickly did not matter when paired with their delicious guacamole that enhanced the flavors and blew me away! Not a go to spot for breakfast but a solid choice if you need or want...

I just moved into the area and the as excited to try the local breakfast diner. I got off work at 7 and came straight here and arrived at 710. I was seated and told I would be helped "soon". At 7:16, I received a phone call from my mom that lasted nearly 4 minutes where I mentioned that I was growing impatient because nobody had even checked on me for a drink. In the meantime, I witnessed a new customer arrive and join the large table near me. A few more minutes pass and the big table is getting food served. It is only then that I'm acknowledged by whom I assume would be my waitress after nearly twenty minutes, and that she'll be with me "shortly". Well she decides it's more important to take the customer that arrived after me, and lo and behold, she's the manager on duty, doesn't take accountability for ignoring customers, nor does she offer any corrective behavior beyond sorries attached to excuses, and seems to revel in making customers upset as she seemed pleased when I said "too little too late" because she now was going to focus...
