This was our first time here. We live right down the street. At first everything seemed good - we were greeted in a decent amount of time, drinks came out quick, and the waitress took our order quick. We sat at the high top table at the bar area. The bar area was busy, but the restaurant inside was practically empty. My food (a small bowl of bbq mac and cheese) came out within about ten minutes, then we waited and waited for my boyfriends food to come out (a mac and cheese burger) and it never came. The waitress didn't come check on us since I had gotten my food, and after about fifteen minutes after I got my food and was already done and nobody checking on us, we got up and flagged a different waitress about not having his food. After another ten minutes, finally the second waitress says a manager is coming over. He comes over and seems like he's never spoken to a customer in his life. Says the original waitress forgot to put in his burger because the restaurant is really "busy" (there's only two people at the table, how do you forget one person if you already put in the first person's order...?), then says he's going to take care of the burger and offered a second beer to my boyfriend who politely declined. The second waitress comes over after that and says that the kitchen held his burger and sent it back to redo because it was wrong (a lie since the manager already told us what happened). Finally after another ten minutes they bring out his burger in a to-go box, and FINALLY the original waitress comes over and apologizes and says something got screwed up. They bring us the bill and charged full price for the small bowl of mac and cheese ($14) and full price for his first and only other beer ($6). They took his burger off, and gave us a $10 gift card, when they should have comp'd the beer he already drank since they offered a free second one, and should've taken $10 off the bill if they were going to bother giving us a $10 gift card. Overall it was a terrible experience and now we have a gift card that we will never be going back...
Read moreNo one to greet you when you walk in, we were just standing there waiting for the hostess. We waited a while before anyone came to take our order. I ordered a cup of chili, when it finally came out it wasn’t chili. It was the soup of the day. Again had to wait to get the waitresses attention, meanwhile she’s doing the work of the hostess, waitress, and making to go meals...the manager was just standing around watching the football game. She fixes my soup; the proceeds to tells us there wasn’t any skin only wings and the only option we had was breaded. We agreed because we were starving and just wanted to eat. We waited and waited then she comes back and there’s no curly fries now. So we ordered the regular fries and tots as sides instead; I was expecting her to come back and say they ran out of that too. Some other chick comes out minutes later and asks us if we want different sides because they ran out of curly fries, we explained someone already has taken care of that. They obviously don’t communicate with each other, and it’s very disorganized. They bring us the wings, no napkins. The manager just goes from one end to the next watching the game, I literally seen him carry one dish into the kitchen and come back out and watch the game. No one manages the front. I should’ve known when the lady in front of us said she was there because they forgot to put the wings in her to-go order last night. It’s a wing restaurant, how do you forget that?? Food was mediocre, the service sucked. It was definitely not worth the wait and the 60.00 we spent to not even get...
Read moreI hate to start off with bad news, so I won't. This place is the real deal. The only question remaining will be whether the location can sustain itself. This particular location has been established as several other well known and not so well known names. None of them had a major impact with the exception of the wings chain that moved to another location.. Now, on to Whiskey Wings. Even though it did have a extremely delayed start and was originally going to be a different but popular wing place but transitioned and nicely I may add, to Whiskey Wings. The location should be a plus as there are several apartments in the area and it's near an entrance point to 2 different bridges across the water to Tampa. I have had wings a few times already, multiple sauces. The Mango Habanero is my go to now. The sweet hot is good but a little lax on the hot portion of that duo. The Fries are delicious and there are extremely good beer specials on tap including some up and coming craft beer names. The Outside bar is everything you could want with thr exception of being on the beach of course. They will be having live music in the upcoming weeks with room to do many other fun forms of entertainment. There are new large screen TVs within plain sight anywhere and the staff is friendly and pleasing. ...
