Slice of Gulfport — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

We were excited to support a new small business! We have been on the hunt for a new local place. We decided on a large plain cheese pizza to see how the flavors were. It tastes like pizza that would be served in a college mess hall. The crust/dough is clearly a pre-made frozen one (note the perforations throughout). The sauce was mediocre, but the cheese was tasty. If I wanted that kind of pizza, I would have just gone to Domino's, Hungry Howie's, etc.

I wish them the best. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

EDIT: In response to the owner's response. I do not eat Domino's, Hungry Howie's, etc. I have seen other people eat it, so that is how I can compare it. Additionally, I worked for a family owned pizza establishment for several years in my teens through my early 20s and at a bar/tavern that they later opened when I was in my late 20s that also sold pizzas. I have made many pizzas and calzones during those years. I have eaten pizza in many mom & pop places up and down the east coast. I have never seen poke marks/holes in the crust like I see in yours. My husband is from NYC and he too was very put off by your product.

I did see that you had many 5 star reviews. That is why we gave you guys a try. Unfortunately, my husband and I do not agree. We hope that those that enjoy your product can continue to do so for many...

I placed an order tonight and it was made incorrectly. When I called back to try and have my order replaced, the girl was extremely rude. She initially told me she "couldn't issue a refund". When I told her I just wanted my item remade correctly, she told me she could but it would be "after" the three orders she currently had to make. I have a 2 year old who then wouldn't be able to eat until after 9pm when I had originally placed my order around 7:30. She offered to take my name and said they would give me 10% off of my next order for THEIR mistake. My friend then got on the phone and eventually the girl told her she'd remake the order. When we got up there 10 minutes later, they girl had not only CLOSED the restaurant 20 minutes early, but she also called the cops? All over the fact that she made an order incorrectly and I simply wanted it replaced. So the moral of the review is, apparently if you want to be banned from this restaurant, don't tell them they made your order wrong. I guess you get what you get and you better like it. Pretty shifty customer service for a restaurant that has been open less than two years.

As a side note, the owner himself is pretty good and has been most helpful on multiple occasions. Hopefully he does something about...

Placed an order at 7:30 for a vegetarian pizza ($16.99) sub vegan cheese with half only onions n tomatoes due to allergy reasons so when I went to pick up she told me $23 n change. I was confused because online said $16.99, the menu behind her on the wall and the paper menu in house all said it’s $16.99. She told me it was $18.50 for the pizza and that the manager just hasn’t updated anything yet. So I told her that that’s false advertising and she should honor the price that’s advertised. So she does and when I get home the pizza was made incorrectly with mushrooms and peppers so we called to ask for a replacement andshe said she can’t do a refund but could remake it in 25mins (making it ready at 9pm) so I said it was too late so she offered a 10% discount so my roommate with the allergies got on the phone and asked for a replacement and the girl agreed and when we went up there at 8:45 (10mins after we got off the phone) the pizza shop was closed. So when we returned home the cops called me and said the workers said I was no longer allowed to come back?! …. Wow crazy service when the young lady messed my order and tried nickel...
