FOOD OK. SERVICE GREAT. Upon entry, we were greeted promptly and taken care of. The atmosphere is excellent - chill music and a very cool indoor/outdoor setup. Our server was quick to get us menus and did excellent the whole time checking on us and taking care of us. Regarding the food, it was decent at best. I got the cobb salad and boom boom shrimp. My friend got fish tacos (pictures of all below). After taking one bite out of the shrimp, I tasted what I thought was freezer burn. I ate a few more. The shrimp alone without the batter tasted faintly like shrimp. The shrimp with the batter is when it tasted kind of funky. The cobb salad was really good. Overall I enjoyed it. I got it minus avocado, bleu cheese crumbles, and tomato. My friend enjoyed his fish tacos. It was also happy hour when we went for lunch on Friday. Overall, I would return. The atmosphere is nice and the service was great. But the food is nothing to go crazy about. It's one of those places that if I were a local to the area I could see myself stopping in and hanging out with friends for a bit, but if I had family or friends in from out of town, it would be further down on the list of places to take them.

The Deck Bar & Grille is a great place to go for drinks with friends, watch a couple of games on the numerous (25 I think) wide-screen TV's. Most days, owner Dean can be found in the front of the house lending a hand and greeting customers. Cedric is managing the kitchen to make sure everything is just right. The food is yummy and the prices are good. Come in for happy hour and stay for one of the many musical guests - my favorite is cabaret entertainer Fiona Frensche who appears about twice a month. Not easy to see from the Bayway, The Deck is tucked away behind Sushi Rock Grill, Addicted to the Bean and Subway. Enter the strip mall complex on Sun Blvd and an immediate right at Regions Bank and follow around to the back. Plenty of free parking is available. Ample indoor seating as well as outdoor seating on...you guessed it, the deck! The Deck Bar and Grille is Isla Del Sol's hidden spot for good times and good food!

Came in for a quick lunch and didn’t have the best experience. There was only 2 bartenders/servers for the whole restaurant as far as I could tell and they were probably overwhelmed but the difference in service between them was huge, we were greeted at the table after waiting for a few minutes with a “what can I get you guys to drink?”, she got us waters and forgot to get our other drink for another 15 minutes, granted she was very nice about getting our baby’s food out quick but she never asked how our food was or if it came okay. And as someone that is a server at a high volume downtown restaurant, even if I’m at the most overwhelming night of the week I don’t treat people that way. The food itself was good I was only disappointed about the amount of fries I got after a $2 upgrade

We made a reservation 2 weeks ago to go for dinner and the band. In the past they were missing my reservation so I called back to make sure they had it. Lo and behold they did not. But I was told rest assure it’s not that busy so we will put you on the list. My reservation was to be for 5pm as we eat early. When we arrived, we were told we could not be seated until 5:30 pm, sit at the bar. We should have left. They were open for food/ drink and there were plenty of tables available. Finally at 5:30 we were seated. All the way in the back of the deck where you could not even hear the band. I asked why we couldn’t sit at the upper part of the deck? Answer, those tables are taken. There was no one there! Another long story, there were plenty of tables available when the band started (6pm not 6:30 like The Deck said) that we could have sat closer. At 6:40 they were willing to move us but we would have to cash out and have a different waitress. Not fair to her so we said we would eat and move after if it was still available. We did not get our food until after 7pm and it was all ice cold! We asked for no salt on the fries and we got salt. I asked for a large salad with just lettuce and grilled chicken. I received a side salad with ice cold chicken. The runners had no idea where the food was to go. He went to 4 other tables with our food before he came to ours when we said it sounds like ours. I had enough! We should have left when the manager Dean said we couldn’t sit til 5:30 and then sat us in the back like we had no reservations. The farthest possible table away from the band. People that showed up later without a reservation got better seating. Other people had the same complaints. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WILL MAKE SURE I TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY EXPERIENECE. SHAME ON THEM. They have a monopoly there as there aren’t any other places except sushi to eat unless you go over the bridge.

Oh and the drink special that was to be Ice Pik Vodka was not Ice Pik. So Ice Pik if you are seeing this they are giving crap vodka and passing it...

We unfortunately had a bad experience with this restaurant while on vacation. My husband, son and I ate dinner there, and the next day both my son and I were not feeling well. We had driven to Busch Gardens, and both of us were quite ill by the time we got there. My son had it the worst, and we had to leave the park and go back home. I called the restaurant to inform them of this, and Chris, the manager I spoke with, asked me if the illness was a one time thing, or if I needed to see if it was ongoing. He also asked if I had been to a Dr yet and I explained that we just had arrived at Busch Gardens and were unfortunately turning around to go home 1 hour later. He explained that all of the food is fresh, but my concern was that perhaps something needed to be looked into since 2/3 of our party were sick the next day. My son was then very sick for the next 24 hours. We lost 2 days of vacation, as my son was recuperating after having food poisoning for 24 hours. We were offered a gift card to come back to visit again, which I declined, as we were not willing to risk this again. We were then told we could stop in to get our 2 meals refunded, but I had to tend to my sick child for the next few days and was not able to stop in. I felt as though I was being questioned as to the validity of our illnesses. The manager did not take my information to follow up, never took my name, and just told me I could stop in if I wanted to. He did not seem to have any resolution, and was barely apologetic. It was disappointing to have been doubted, when 2 of 3 of us were ill the next day. We would not recommend...

I am very disappointed. First of all, I was with a big party that did a monthly gathering there, and i walked out with my card and forgot to grab my card at the bar, so i called in and asked if i could pick it up the next day (Sunday ) and the gal who worked there confirmed it was there and they would be open on Sunday. I drove all the way from Pompano to pick it up, the next day, over an hour, however only to find the security guard who told me the place closed down for the season. he said not even the employees knew about !!!

So Monday, I called and got a very rude woman on the phone who said they could not find my card !!!!!! And the woman had the audacity to tell me --- "Well, you should not have left your card at the bar".

Our group will no longer continue our monthly group events there, to top it off, the valet made quite a significant gash on the front of my car because he apparently pulled up to a black wall and left some pretty significant gashes which will not be cheap to repair. I did not even say anything about this to them because obviously it is not something i can prove.

Overall i am just disgusted with the Deck. Its a shame because it is a fun atmosphere but we also had really bad service while we were there, but the rude treatment i received when asking for them to send me my credit card, and then just bluntly said they lost it, and then insulted me on top of it ???

Well you judge for yourself. But they lost a huge monthly meet up group...
