The Joint St. Pete — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

A friend, my wife and I just had the absolute worst experience with customer service at the Joint in St. Pete. We arrived at 5:45PM and were seated immediately. It then started to go down hill. The waitress took our drink order and about 5 minutes later returned with two drinks. The 3rd came about 3 minutes later but it was wrong. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and got an unsweetened tea. I asked if she could bring the lemonade and she was very nice and said yes but that never happened. Even though we asked for it another 3 times. Then we waited another 15 minutes to have her take our order (the first time). Yeah, she lost our order, so in about 10 minutes later she came back and told us how busy she was and ask us what we ordered again. Still no lemonade. So the food came out. They tried to give it to someone else. We had no silverware, had to ask for them. When we got a fork my wife’s food was cold. I explained it to the waitress and it seemed to be an inconvenience to fix it. By the way our order was to come with a salad. The salad never was delivered. They asked if we would like the salad to got. At this point I just told the to keep the salad. They brought my wife’s food to go and brought me a togo box. Not one waitress or manager tried to help. Several times we heard our waitress say she was going to quit that she could not does this anymore. While I feel for her, she really should look at doing something else. went to watch Sunday Night Football with a friend there was standing room only inside so we put our self on a waiting list and decided to go find a table outside. We started outside with their fish spread. I would’ve enjoyed it a bit better if they offered jalapeños with the fish bread, we were just drinking beer and we then ordered the hog fish entrée, and the meatloaf entrée hogfish came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It seemed a bit buttery, but wasn’t bad. The meatloaf came with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and broccoli and brown gravy on the meatloaf when the server brought over our meal, I couldn’t believe how much gravy was on the meatloaf and the mashed potatoes. I ended up scraping most of it off and giving more of it to my friend that I had went with. our server was great. She was very attentive and did a wonderful job. It did take about an hour and a half to get a table inside the parking you had to park down the street very little parking in front of the actual restaurant itself lots of TVs everywhere awesome decorations, and there is a one stall women’s and one stall men’s bathroom. They have a great outdoor area with plenty of tables and seating and TVs with umbrellas over the tables for Shade. You are allowed to smoke outside so if you’re not a smoker, you might try to get away from the smoking area or sit inside. If I go back, I will definitely change what I ordered to see if it was just a one time thing or if I just don’t...

Arrived today at 12:30 for lunch, most people at bar, a few tables inside with guest all tables outside empty. Excited to return to The Joint as it had been awhile, working in area so had opportunity to return. One group of three seated before us, we were seated right after. It took 15 minutes for server to take drink order. She seemed put out that we were even there. Table ahead received multiple drinks and apps fairly quickly

What we didn't know and over heard was she was only server for all seats excluding bar. I blame owner/management neither of which were visible. Server clearly overwhelmed and upset.

Took about 40 minutes to receive 2 carnitas soft shell tacos with fries and a fried baloney sandwich with fries. Fries 1.00 extra..no tots today, fries are seasoned. Tacos just okay, nothing special for 9.95. Fried baloney covered in swiss cheese (not mentioned on menu), unfortunately husband hates swiss cheese. After over an hour server says everything okay, should have noticed my husband took one bite of his sandwich. No offer to refill tea, had to wait an excessive amount of time for check while other customers waiting also and tables dirty with dishes.You guys have potential but we won't be able to return because it is just not that good...
