My sister and I visited Tiki Tim’s today to catch up with my favorite bartender, Brooke Neverett. It was our first time experiencing the bar under the new ownership, and we had an amazing time!
We chose to sit outside, and it was great to see the outdoor bar open. Since we were there early (around 3:30 PM), there wasn’t any music yet as it starts at 7 PM, but that didn’t dampen our excitement. I was especially thrilled to order a Mudslide, and the owners ensured Brooke had all the ingredients to make one. It was so delicious I ended up having three! (Don’t worry, my sister was the designated driver 😉).
When we arrived, there wasn’t any music outside except for Brooke’s phone. We tried to use the jukebox, but it wasn’t working initially, which was a bit disappointing. Thankfully, unplugging and plugging it back in did the trick, and we were able to enjoy some tunes.
The crowd was incredibly friendly, and the beautiful weather, delicious food, and refreshing drinks made for a perfect afternoon. We stayed long enough to hear the band start and managed to catch a couple of songs—they were fantastic! I wish we could have stayed longer, but it was time to head home.
Tiki Tim’s is such a great spot, and I truly hope more people discover it. We’ll...
Read moreThis place is the definition of a hidden gem. We pulled up after looking at the great reviews and thought "this is the place?" but this is THE place! The food was unbelievable, the drinks were delicious, strong, and refreshing. The service was perfect (Nina was a fabulous bartender/server). We got the crab dip, Philly cheesesteak, and burger for food and the rum runner and strawberry tequila refresher for drinks. We were in such shock of how crazy good this place was. Highly highly highly recommend!!
11/22 update: It looks like this is actually hit or miss depending on the bartenders. Today the drinks were really sweet and mostly soda when the menu said "splash of sprite". The service was bad. We said we wanted to wait til we got the app to order and they just dropped it off and never came back. I tried to get the bartenders attention and she just gave me a weird look instead of smiling, coming over, or asking if we needed anything. The crab dip was still super good and we will probably try again but if it's those same bartenders, we'll just leave. Just such a stark difference from the...
Read moreI was hoping the place would take a step forward from Pesky Pelican, but it is a huge miss. I ordered a chicken Philly that boasts "you won't be disappointed" - the description on the menu. I was VERY disappointed. When I placed my order, I was asked if I wanted peppers, mushrooms and onions on it, and if I wanted American cheese or provolone. I said yes to everything except the onions and provolone. When it came out, it had only onions (no peppers or mushrooms) and maybe half a slice of provolone for the entire sandwich. The chicken is probably 2-3 ounces (generous estimate) of shaved chicken that was completely dried out. It was served with hand cut fries that I was excited for until I ate one and then another (to make sure it was all of them).. soggy! The fryer clearly wasn't up to temp. I won't be back.. the experience just missed the mark in every way. The bartender was nice enough and the place appeared clean, so I'm not just being completely negative. Oh! And that "sandwich" also cost $14 plus 50-cents for peppers, plus 50-cents for mushrooms. Tiki Tim, you did not deliver....
