Beautiful view and tasty food - Just amazing!
What a breathtaking and memorable beach view this place had, as well as the food! We had a great time walking on the beach and enjoying the food. My family and I decided at the last minute to dine-in at Surf Club for dinner, and we will for sure be coming back again!
The restaurant was easy to locate due to prior visits and since it is located directly behind their hotel, Surfrider Resort Hotel. The entrance, as well as the parking was a bit tight, but there was no issue with finding a spot since they were not extremely busy. The beach-house style of the interior and exterior complimented the scenery. Inside the restaurant, a calming ambiance was set by the beautiful beach view, soothing jazz music, and soft lighting. There were no signs of food residue on our tables or seats, and it appeared clean, which was great. The menu featured a variety of affordable options from appetizers, soups, salads, and main dishes, to drinks and desserts. I ordered a House Salad, and Lemongrass chicken, which was very tasty because of the fresh and mildly spicy combo, and it did not disappoint. However, what was a little disappointing was the service because it was slower than expected.
Despite coming across poor service, Surf Club provided a positive and memorable experience overall. The ambiance, food, and setting were awesome! In spite of the slow service, I would definitely come back for the delicious food and calming atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy delicious food accompanied by a beautiful view and a...
Read moreIt could be due to what I’ve ordered, but Surf Club may be more impressive with its atmosphere and general setting rather than its dishes. Not to say that the food is terrible or anything, but it was honestly nothing too outstanding.
Fried lumpia was really good, especially when paired with the lettuce and string beans. Hot, crispy and delectable. The chop steak was nailing all its points; from the meat to the rice and vegetables, very solid dish. Squid ink pasta, on the other hand, is brining too fancy to write home about. Though I enjoyed it, I wouldn’t exactly order it again.
The highlight for me definitely has to be the atmosphere. Surf Club absolutely killed it with the vibrant, fresh tone they set with a stunning view of the beach (do yourself a favor and come during the day or afternoon). The entire place just screams picturesque.
Again, this is based on my own experience. It is likely that I haven’t tried any food that accurately establishes this establishment’s culinary strength, which is why I implore you to take a closer look at the menu and not just skim through it. With that said, the food is not bad at all, but it is food that can definitely be outperformed by other respective contemporaries. I daresay you should check out Surf Club regardless. Prices may be a little high, but don’t let that stop you from taking in the absolutely beauty that is the fresh waters and sandy...
Read moreWorkers made my family and I feel unwelcome and was not checking up on us or whatsoever. Workers need to work more on their friendliness towards customers and not pick and choose who they like/dislike to serve. I understand servers are busy BUT there times they would check on other tables and not my family and I’s tables, even if we tried waiting for them to be done with whatever task they are doing, they made it look like they were mostly avoiding our table. This was not the first time that this had happened, it is the 2nd time now and we are just very disappointed...
