McDonald's — Restaurant in Salem

Try a burger called the daily double. You wont always see this on the menu. Quite possibly the best burger McDonalds sells. So about this particular location: The bathrooms are often filthy as many homeless hang about this Mcdonalds (NOT all homeless are bad. Just seems this location draws a lot of the bad ones). Because of the number of homeless people that lurk about the parking lot it is often uncomfortable getting from your car into the restaurant as you're bombarded with people asking you for cigarettes and money and even the use of your phone charger or trying to sell you drugs! For the most part the staff at this location are awesome, one or two not so much but every location has that situation. The food is always good; Unfortunately today I was shorted one nugget on my six piece chicken McNuggets but they're really good about rectifying errors on your next visit. I can only give this particular McDonald's 3 stars but again please understand it's because of the people that hang about the place not the restaurant the owners or the employees as I have watched and it's extremely difficult to deal with what they have to deal with. Would I recommend this restaurant to you, maybe, but use the drive-thru! Lol! PS, I would also recommend avoiding this particular McDonald's during the lunch hour through the week. So, I do not usually go here. This place is notorious for poor service and for the homeless people that linger around the premises, making it an obvious place to avoid. I only stopped by the store in hopes of getting a water cup for my dog while out on a run. After waiting an unusually long time for the cashier to ring up two orders (took about 6 minutes, I kept an eye on my watch) I was told that they could not give me water unless I gave them 25 cents. I understand your a chain, your profits are important and your policies are sacred, however if I can’t get a paper cup that probably costs 5 cents to produce at most for my dehydrated canine than I am definitely going to have a reason to complain. I ran to the gov cup and was able to get water in less than 2 minutes for my dog and they offered a free drink for my birthday. In conclusion: If your going to go to McDonald’s, might as well go to one that can at least provide decent service, food, and atmosphere. This one has none of those and has shown a poor moral character in choosing to not provide water to my dog. IDrive taxi so I've been to this McDonald's several times. In the morning time that cater to the homeless people now I don't have anything against homeless people whatsoever I was homeless at one time myself but when you have 30 of them crammed into this little tiny restaurant and three of them in the bathroom and it and given time it makes for a pretty bad scene. Not to mention you have three or four of them outside with their big shopping carts all full of s*. Makes for a pretty full parking lot. Was there at noon today. Order 3 Frappuccinos and 3 bacon egg and cheese muffins. Since it was lunchtime I understand having to wait for the muffins. but when you're told me you're going to comp me with some free food or some free coupons you should actually do that. When the manager himself actually brought out my bag I thought maybe he put some coupons inside of it so I drove away. Wrong the only thing in my bag was my cold muffins. needless to say I'll continue to use this McDonalds for the bathroom and bathroom only just because it's convenient not because it's clean...
