If I could give it a 0 rating I would. First it took the two employers to attend one customers order which took them about 20 mins, then we couldnât understand what they were saying. Barely talk English which it NOT ok to leave not one but two employers taking over the entire store without knowing how to speak at least proper English. Then we paid as meals which is already expensive but the ice machine was not working and the drinks were hot and the sodas were flat. I told him that I was not going to drink that hot and flat but we paid for a drink so he said he would charge us more for the bottle drinks. I said no because the machine was messed it and that was not our fault and he had already charged us. Is their responsibility to keep everything clean, organize and in working service. We were in there for lunch and had to return to class and had only 10 mins left to eat since they took so long to take our order. He had no other choice than to let us grab the bottled drinks which made him upset but I was already upset myself with the bad service we received and not under them was frustrating enough. The tables were dirty. The lettuce and spinach were not fresh and had an after taste which I couldnât finish my meal. On top of that when I bite into my cookie it was stale and the taste was like old cookies. I was so so upset We got a stomach pain after. Had to finish our classes while in pain. The more expensive the food gets in restaurants the less effort they put in it, less fresher, less quality and less customer...
Read moreAs the new manager of the store, i can say honestly that we receive many negative reviews and ratings unfairly due to not having a public restroom. The town of Salem does not allow the plaza to have a restroom since we are built on a wetland. Our septic systems simply canât handle more than being a commodity for employees in the plaza, and for this, I am deeply sorry. The owner of the store, Andrew, has owned the store for 15 years and has worked there for the same amount of time, personally making sure everyday that each customer is taken care of and that we go above & beyond the basic standards of fast food service. Me and my staff work extremely hard to make sure the food is always fresh, and each sandwich is prepared to the customers liking. As a team we take pride in each sandwich that is sold in order to make our customers happy. In the winter we do close early on some nights due to lack of business, we are a small store, and on nights in the colder seasons, business can be as slow as not seeing a customer for two hours. In the summer, this is not the case and we are open respectively until 9pm every night except sunday, on which we close the store at 8pm. If you do have an unpleasant experience with us, or have had one in the past, I would be happy to fix any issue/make amends & look forward to hearing from you so that I can make our little sandwich store better day by day. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to making your Subway experience one of the best youâll ever have! Sincerely,...
Read moreâNO PUBLIC BATHROOMSâ. Iâve never heard of a Subway with no public bathrooms. I thought it was a franchise requirement. Got news for you, mgmt: no bathroom=no business from me! I got a full bladder & need to take care of that first! You think Iâm going to go across the street to the Shell/Henny Penny to use the bathroom, & then come back to you to buy food?! Hell no! THEY got my business.
And the Dunkin in the same plaza also has a âNO PUBLIC REST ROOMSâ sign on their door. Probably the same franchisee.
I see the response from the mgr(?). I give you kudos for at least responding. For that I upped my review from 1 star to 3. I can only say that if thatâs the case the town shouldnât allow restaurants in the plaza. Or maybe they shouldnât have allowed commercial development in a wetlands at all. And you shouldâve picked a better location for your franchise. How is it that the short distance of across the street is able to have a...
