The Shack Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Salem

I was exhausted after a long day on my feet, so I decided to stop into this lively local spot to take a load off. The moment I stepped inside, I could tell it was a welcoming and accommodating place. Even though it was busy, the staff quickly found me a booth where I could relax for a bit.

The space had a fun vibe, with pinball machines, punching bag games, and two pool tables dividing up the dining and bar areas. The friendly folks working there checked in on me after I had settled in and we chatted briefly about my day.

After about 10 minutes, they kindly asked if I'd like to order some food. I explained that I'm vegetarian and they highlighted they had tasty meatless burgers on the menu - perfect for my dietary needs! I happily ordered one and it came out fresh and delicious in no time. The fries were expertly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and herbs.

The only thing I had to request separately was water, but otherwise the service was top-notch and attentive despite the busy night, so I didn't mind asking. The staff clearly aims to make all guests feel comfortable and cared for.

After finishing my meal, they went the extra mile by helping me find a nearby place to stay overnight, since I was too tired to make the trek home. That thoughtful accommodation was so appreciated.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. The food, drinks and service left me feeling refreshed and ready to continue my journey the next day. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Your "head security guard" Tim extremely unprofessional! I have witnessed him being inappropriate with an extremely inebriated female, on the job, big NO NO! He has made accusatory statements toward my husband which lead to a search without just cause, very discriminatory. As a consumer I can freely choose to whom I provide my business to and whom I decide to refer business to. I would definitely not recommend this establishment based solely on the behavior of Tim. The other professionals I haven encountered there have been a great delight! All it takes is one bad seed to spoil the night. I will no longer be a customer of this establishment for disgust of encountering Tim, and being treated like a criminal. He has made it very clear that he is not concerned with the businesses...

This is a little gem. Went on a Saturday for karaoke and had an amazing time. The appetizers were fire!!! But my main course was just blah. I got a taco Salad. The main flavors were good but my taco shell was old but thankfully not stale. It was weirdly on a bed of cold refried beans. Which was just weird. I'm not sure but it seems they did it to keep the shell from moving on the plate. Lol. My man got a French dip. It had good flavor but was just average. Thankfully it was not overly salty. So that was a bonus. Karaoke was so much fun and the KJ was fantastic and had an amazing voice! We will definitely be back. So Just bring yourself down Saturday nights from 8pm until 2 am !!!
