Floor sticky. Front counter sticky. Tiles missing on wall in dining room. Floor has not been swept in a while. French frys and trash on the floor. Men's restroom sink falling off the wall, no soap, no signs as to when it was last inspected and cleaned. No towels to dry hands, only a blower. No signs instructing employees to wash hands after using facilities. Women's room, no soap to wash hands, no paper towels, blower not working. The dining room has not been swept for a while. French frys and trash seen all over. The self service pop machine not working. No napkins in dispenser. Only ketchup and toco sauce out for guests to help themselves to. The curly fries were greasy. Actually watched the "cook" take the curly fries that were out to be sold, but were probably out there too long, drop them back into the fryer to heat them back up, then package them and put them in my order. The 350 lb plus person in charge kept coming out to the dining area to see how everyone (all total of 2 tables, 4 people) was doing and was telling us all that he has been busy cleaning up this restaurant. That it was in such poor condition when he got there. But he had to lean over the pass through wall to support himself to tell us this. He kept coming out and just leaning over the wall to rest. NEVER will we stop at this Jack in the Box, store # 7117, on the corner of MLK Parkway in the Fred Meyers parking lot, across from MCDONALDS which is where we always stop when going to Lincoln City, twice a month. Thought we would try something different. WRONG. MCDONALDS, we WILL be back. This was on 5/9/24 at approx 2:40 pm. Wish I had my phone with me to...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling. I was in the store and ordered my food. I looked over as I was waiting and saw a woman in a mobility device waving at me because a grey Nissan Rogue was parked in the white lines pedestrian area in front of the wheel chair ramp blocking her from being able to up the ramp to the store. I explained to the woman it wasn't my car. I asked staff because I was the only customer in the store if they knew the owner of the car. I was told that an employee works at the store and because she works there she is allowed to park there. I told her the woman in the wheel chair was planning to call the police. The owner of the car came out yelling to me that she is allowed to park in that area because she is an employee. I explained ada is a law and woman in the mobility was trying to explain the same thing. The employee cursed at us, said she Fword park where ever she wants. She then moved the car over to straddle the handicap spot, and a regular spot. I walked back into the store asked for my money back, and I got my refund. When I was leaving the woman in the mobility looked at me and said she was not going to eat there after all because she was afraid the employees would retaliate and do something to her food. I told her I thought the same and got my refund. This is by far one if the worst experiences I have ever had. I was on my lunch and told my coworkers what had happened. I will not be going back and I will be telling everyone I...
Read moreIt's still a 50/50 chance that fast food locations will permit walk in service for ordering. So I appreciated that they provided this option. Once inside I noticed that they resembled someplace under siege with chairs barricading the hallway to the bathroom, the soda fountain and the seating areas. This was certainly done out of necessity. There was a huge plastic barrier between the employees and I, but this was done as tastefully as can be expected these days. The food was prepared quickly and as I had ordered. While I don't eat fast food often, the food I ordered was tasty and amazingly looked like the photo on the menu (very surprising for any fast food place). The employees were all helpful, attentive, polite and kind. Overall my experience was very positive. The barricade was not visually appealing (they never are), but the cleanliness was acceptable. My one negative was seeing that the place on the counter where food & cash is exchanged had not been cleaned. Which is pretty big considering the reasons for the plastic barrier and barricaded dining room. So they lose a whole star for this alone. Some friends thought it should be more, some thought only 1/2 a star - so losing one star seems to be the fair thing. In the future I will ask them to clean the area if I see it like that in the future (I was baffled by it and thought since I was getting the food in a bag I'd not...
