Eva's Cafe — Restaurant in Salinas

My buddy finally gets me to go to Eva's Cafe after almost a year of him bugging me. They don't serve chips or beer and the long drive there had me thinking even if it's good it's not worth driving all the way just for something I can get down the street. The place sits about 10-12 people max and the stools are very close together. Just enough room for you to order, eat and get out. Not a place I'd ever bring my wife to.

I ordered the enchilada plate that comes with a perfectly cooked piece of asada, rice, beans and homemade tortillas. The food takes a while to get there but the presentation is great. I take one bite and can't believe my taste buds. Everything was out of this world. Best Mexican food I've ever had! And they don't serve chip because you don't need them. I was stuffed. Have you ever ridden in a train trolley where food is served? That is kind of the atmosphere at Eva's Cafe on Williams Rd. In Salinas. Now everything is more than worth it when u finally receive your food... ooooohh man, it is great to look at the dishes that are made from fresh Ingredients and very nice presentation. I've worked as an assistant manager, cook, dishwasher bus boy... and learn that a bad dish can be saved by good customer service and I agree... but u can mistreat me if you want as long as I can taste Eva's cuisine... if not the best restaurant in Salinas the food should be!!
