Taqueria El Chavinda — Restaurant in Salinas

Got 2 tacos around 930, usual prettty good..No yellow corn tortillas though. Spot ir right on the corner of williams with plenty of parking and seating and a big screen TV for the events.

Tacos were a bit to greasy..couldnt taste the carne asada cause of all the grease.

Might give it another try though. Customer service did not have a smile on their face...but it was getting close to being 10, so i understand you just want you just want to get out of there. Try it out during the day time might hit...

I used to come here as a child with my grandparents. It usually used to be a very friendly atmosphere. Not just that they always had like music and the soccers game on, boxing, anything. Now it feels like a bad vibe walking in. The girl tonight was rude and didn’t even greet me. Not just that they are literally selling tacos nothing too crazy. Again I’m extremely disappointed in the service. Not just that I saw very unhygienic method of cooking. Literally the girl was handling cash and then went to go help flip tortillas. This place also looks really dirty. Like it hasn’t been clean in a decade. Word of advice you’ll wait for over half hour just for simple tacos. Got takeout as a family. I personally just got a torta de asada with 'everything' which is just three toppings (onion, cilantro, salsa). Pretty lackluster on the taste of it since it they don't really put anything besides like 99% meat. The taquitos were good though, fried with a good amount...
