Tropical Vibes — Restaurant in Salinas

I was underwhelmed by this place. On the one hand, the staff was very kind and offered us samples to help us determine what to order, they even checked that dairy was okay for us and offered alternatives if not. However once we put in the order for two drinks it came out to over $18! For two bubble tea drinks?! Holy cow. The prices were not posted, either. The names for their add-ins were confusing and not similar to other boba places I've been to so I did not know how to get what I wanted. Billy & Anh are such wonderful people. They make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. My first time going there I was super impressed by just the atmosphere alone. They really bring a tropical vibe to Salinas. I came all the way from seaside to try their boba out. Definitely worth it!! I ordered online & it was ready right on time. My little sister got an add in that she didn’t like and they were more than happy to fix her drink for her. We also ordered both waffles (pandan & taro) they were fresh, hot and so tasty. I can’t wait to come back and try their short ribs or lemon grass chicken!!...

Glad to get out here and to enjoy some good drinks, vibes and owners! I saw the Instagram and immediately had to get here and try the drinks especially. Being a matcha psycho, I appreciate they have extra topping like matcha powder, homemade matcha pudding and matcha foam! etc This makes the drinks even more awesome. I got the tarp waffle which had nice flavor, and the entrees we're great! Huge portions on the chicken and ribs. Flavors were good and not overly salty, so the actual meat and taste came through.
