First off, very roomy diner setup in a way that can accommodate almost anyone. Plenty of tables, booths, high tops and a lot of counter seating. You're not all pressed up on someone else, even at its busiest. Secondly, the portions are BIG! Without prices to match. I was not expecting as much food as I got for the prices quoted on the menu. The scrambled eggs were cooked well, the sausages come in links or patties. The links were legit. Home fries don't look all that great, but had excellent taste, good char on the edges. Not bland. The toast seemed to be a thick challah type bread. And my waitress gave me an approximate size for what the pancakes were. And it was $8 for 2 blueberry pancakes. They were huge. I'm so used to seeing over $10 for smaller sizes. Overall, I was impressed with the value of this place. The staff were quick and just the right amount of attentive, checking on me and bringing fillups of coffee only when I needed it. Nice, clean bathrooms on top of it all. Takes...
Read moreTo my surprise, this was formerly Marie's and that was the last time my son and I visited. I was thinking 🤔💭 to myself that the directions were familiar. I guess Marie's was not generational after all. Anywho, you can seat 🪑 yourself and we were given menus right ▶️ away and asked what we wanted to drink. I had the Veggie Omelette with mushrooms, olives and spinach. It came with a side of home fries and sourdough toast. My son had a blueberry 🫐 pancake 🥞 with a scrambled egg 🥚 and a side of fruit 🍓. The coffee ☕ was good 👍 and it came with refills. The WiFi worked well. The bathroom was in good condition. I am going to recommend this place for breakfast. If I have a chance, I will check ✔️ this restaurant...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went today for the first time after seeing good reviews on Nextdoor. We were really happy we did. Large portions. Fresh ingredients. Amazing rye bread. And the best part was the great service with prices that put Angie’s to shame. Kim was the sweetest waitress we’ve ever had. Saw us sit next to each other in our booth instead of on opposite sides of the table and told us she and her husband have been doing the same thing for 45 years. “Maybe that’s the key to a successful marriage” and she winked while saying her eyes were starting to water. What a perfect way to end the week: we will be back! what a nice addition to the area! One tiny suggestion - stronger...
