Caruso's Deli — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I've come to Caruso's a number of times over a period of more than a decade. I like it in theory. The menu is great, I appreciate the location, and usually the staff are pleasant and helpful. In the end, I'm generally underwhelmed enough that I don't go back for at least a year. Today's visit probably represented why pretty well. I ordered a chicken salad croissant sandwich. The price was reasonable enough, and again, the cashier was helpful. There weren't a lot of people waiting but it seemed like a long time before it was ready. But back at the office I actually found myself opening the sandwich to confirm that there was any chicken in it. It was more like a mayonnaise sandwich! I like mayo well enough, and I had added some toppings, but nothing could compete with that heavy mayo. Nonetheless, I'm sure I'll find myself there again in about a year, after visiting Redwood Clinic or something. Never a place I recommend to...

This is quite possibly the best Deli style Restaurant I have ever been to! Before I was injured, I used to travel all over the United States as a Boilermaker, so I have eaten at many Restaurants all over the Country. Typically if I was out on the road, I would look for a Quiznos if I was in the mood for a Sandwich, but here in Salt Lake City, it's gotta be Caruso's Deli, their Godfather Sandwich is absolutely AMAZING! 🤤 and their Staff/Family, always complete the experience. They might be a little out of the way from Downtown, but you'll never regret getting Caruso's for lunch... unless you let your Tastebuds override your Stomach saying it's full, which can happen once you get lost in...

Seriously though! Caruso’s is one of the OG sandwich shops in Salt lake valley. Total East Coast style with phenomenal combinations and the type of sandwich that makes you go “wow”! Definitely makes the best sandwiches around for a fraction of the price vs of other places around That fail to compare to Caruso’s as it is . Been coming here for over 20 years since I was a teenager and they have never compromised on their quality or consistency. Must try… The Italian dip! The stallion, any of their signature sandwiches.
