I went to this place based on the reviews and unfortunately I was disappointed. The food was just okay, it wasn’t great. I ordered the fish tacos, the birria tacos, the asada tacos, and the OG (chicken and waffles). I didn’t try the OG but my husband said he enjoyed it; he liked the chicken and said the waffles were also good. I had some of both the birria and the fish tacos. The birria meat was under seasoned and the tacos were on the small side and barely had any cheese. The consommĆ© was delicious though. The fish tacos were the biggest disappointment. They looked nothing like the photo; they were soggy and tiny and there was literally a few straws of slaw on them. The fish was also under seasoned. I ordered a side of mac and cheese and it was the best tasting of everything I tried, but for $4.50 I got just a tiny scoop. That’s my main complaint about this place: the prices are absolutely outlandish for the portion sizes. Like utterly ridiculous. The asada taco plate was four of the small ā€˜street taco’ sized tortillas and maybe 4 oz of meat, no toppings, and it was $10.50. I spent $54 plus tip and everyone was still hungry after dinner. I don’t mind spending on takeout, especially on a locally owned business, but I felt like I got robbed here. I wanted to love this place but it’s a hard pass for me. Edit to add that the lady at the counter was super nice and helpful...

This place is awesome. We were road tripping last week and looking for something local and tasty when we stumbled on Street Eats. It's in a rougher looking side of town, but the Google reviews seemed promising, so we checked it out.

The location is SMALL. Like, there is one table inside and nowhere to wait, and the food takes a minute to prepare, so expect to wait unless you call ahead for pickup. We just grabbed some drinks and waited in the car and they brought our food right out to us when it was ready.

The food itself was freaking fantastic. We both ordered the grilled cheese smash burger with mojos, and the total with tip was around $40. The smashburger was honestly one of the most perfectly seasoned I've ever had, and it was loaded down with cheese, but not to the point of being too messy or too much. Those mojos were piping hot and seasoned to perfection, and paired perfectly with the cool, creamy in-house ranch (which wow, get a side of ranch). This is not fast food, this is fresh made, steaming hot, greasy goodness.

The entire menu looked tasty, and I wish I didn't live 3.5 hours away. If you have a chance, stop in and...

I am always traveling and I love checking local spots not chain restaurants.

Street Eats was definitely worth my wait and walk to this tiny restaurant.

I ordered the wings with the creamy Buffalo, shoestring fries and the carne asada tacos. The food was unbelievable amazing. Dare I say the best wings I had ever had? Not only were the wings crunchy, perfectly seasoned but still moist meat. And the creamy Buffalo!!! Wow! Outstanding flavor!

Not only was the food amazing but the owner and the front of the house personnel went out of their way to explain the menu. I asked several questions to accommodate some dietary restrictions and not once they seemed annoyed; instead they were happy to help me. The owner even gave me a taste of a different salsa for my tacos. The interaction I had with all of them made my visit even better. I love supporting local businesses and streets eats is one that you should definitely try as well.

Inside there is only a few tables with a couple of chairs but outside there is plenty of tables set up as well music playing. It is BYOB so you can definitely enjoy some good food, have a drink and listen...

When I say this is probably the best restaurant in San Angelo, I'm not at all exaggerating. My husband and I eat out pretty often and were really getting tired of eating at the same restaurants over and over so we took a chance and IT PAID OFF! My husband's carne asada tacos were gone before I could even get a picture, and I basically had to fight him off my chicken and waffles with strawberry Sriracha honey (which is to die for). We also got the mojos and as much as it pains me to say it, they're better than Roosters and I also don't have to drive across town to pick it up!! I will gladly eat here over and over, and I cant wait to try every delicious thing on the menu 🤤
