Western Sky Steakhouse — Restaurant in San Angelo

The owner was so rude. I been all around the world and had a few bad experiences but this one tops them all. ,Any other time I've had an issue with the food the manager and I would come to some type of agreement but not here and it was the owner at that . You would think the owners would care just a little bit more. My steak was under cooked with more than 50% fat. I asked the owner how she thinks the steak was cook and she agreed it was under cooked. The owner didn't care and said that's just how we get them. She didn't compensate me for the steak or make me a new one or anything she just didn't care at all. When I was leaving she said sorry and her friend laughed and I turned around and looked at her and said are you really ? She said yes I hope you enjoy your steak and I said I'm going to give it to my dog and she said which I can't believe she said this but she said I hope your dog enjoys it. I just paid for the food and walked out because one thing I understand is businesses open and close all the time. Especially with owners like this. Again I been all around the world had meals from $5 to $400 and never in my life have I came across someone so rude and disrespectful as this female owner. I say female owner because I know her husband owns it too and I would hope he wouldn't have been rude like that. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I hope you read this before...

I don’t understand how this place has even one star I don’t understand how this place even has one star I ordered the vegetable steak specials. It was a poorly piece of cut Steak then literally threw some vegetable seasoning on top. It was so salty. I was unable to eat it. My husband ordered a T-bone that looked like it was deep-fried. It was covered in some kind of breading. My aunt ordered the chicken fried steak it was completely burnt from the bottom. last, but definitely not least what is German potatoes that everybody talks about are absolutely disgusting. These are russet potatoes that are over cooked underseasoned tI was told that they were baby potatoes and they are not. I wouldn’t come back or if somebody paid me too .the food is disgusting. I don’t know whose bright idea it was to have staff have rolling carts but it’s extremely annoying when you’re trying to eat and all you hear is rolling, rolling all over the restaurant. It’s definitely not fine dining an absolute waste of my money, but I do have one good thing to say the place is clean, but the restrooms did not have toilet paper, but in one store, thank God that I carry wipes in my purse for the prices that they have on their menu. This place is unacceptable. San Angelo should definitely think about getting a salt grass or Longhorns. At this point steak express is way better...

This place has gone so down hill since the original owners had it. We used to eat here every week but stopped coming because the steak hasn't been as good and after tonight I don't think I'm ever coming back. They hardly put any seasoning on it and my wife ordered med steak and it was dry and well well done, we asked for it to be redone and got a very rare steak. Now 30mins later everyone else is done eating and finally the server comes back and said she would let the manager know, the manager never came by and finally she comes back and said they would do 20 percent off which makes no sense. 20 percent off food you didn't even get to eat? What a rip off. We advised the server we didn't want a discount we want something for her to eat, here we are 1 hour in and still no food for her. Now to top it all off we have been here 1.5 hours and finally got a steak she can eat, and the server brings the the check and took the 20 percent discount off the ticket. I mean how petty. They screwed up 2 times and took the server 1.5 hours just to get us the food.

UPDATE. Finally made them get me a actual manager before we left and he was very nice. the whole time though the wanna be manager was mean mugging me. Customer service has gone...
