I had a very unpleasant experience at Bush’s Chicken on Bitters Rd. I ordered a two-piece dinner White meat 1 baked and 1 fried after delivery and sampling it was initially noted it looked nothing like the picture on the counter. It was burnt darkened chicken pieces on the outside, extremely salty to taste, and dried out on the inside. The mashed potatoes were served warm with the most gravy the same way. I was not impressed with the manager's attitude it was too bad you got the last piece from the morning batch and it's no more, you ate the chicken. I showed her the two pieces and it was not even half eaten. She said it’s too late you already bit into it and can’t be replaced, I asked her how else I know the quality of the chicken. She stated very rudely I’m not gonna argue with you and I stated neither will I argue with you, I was just commenting on the food they’re serving. I noticed they had fried chicken stacked high under the warmer lights and numerous sides sitting in the containers under the warmer lights which is why the food was probably dried out and warm., the last of the baked chicken should have been just thrown out and written off. Mgr Leah not a smart mgr, you lied and said I ate the chicken when I showed you and still have the less than half-eaten pieces, I requested to send pics to the owner she refused to give me Mr Tony Cains's number, quote I’m your last resort. As she continued to suck on her drink next to a bucket of dirty water on the counter in front of the register. I guess so I lost on the complaint Mr Cain doesn't want his number given out, oh she did say she offered me another side ahh no thanks no more warm sides or old food, if I wanted leftover food I’d go home, and pull it out of my refrigerator and nuke it in the microwave! I stated I’ll just write a review and posted it, she stated like she didn't care like no big deal. This was a very disheartening experience. I guess she has no fear of the owner's concerns, maybe the metropolitan city behind the...
Read moreAugust 2025 I stopped in for a family box of of Bush's chicken and I was surprisingly greeted by the manager, who took my order, and prepared it. As you would expect, she did everything really well. I can tell you to this location, since I had that real salty meal sometime last year, has really turned the quality of their food around, as well as continuing to give good service, and good food.
I hope your experiences is good or better than mine.
April 2025 Stopped in Sunday evening, 4/27, around 6:30 pm, to pick up a 16-piece chicken tenders box. Since the 2/8 dinner below was salty we asked to test a small piece of one chicken tenders, which the staff member obliged us. The taste tests passed and we ordered the 16-piece box. The staff was very busy, and was still very cordial and helpful.
I hope that if you decide to visit your experience is as good as mine.
February 2025 Stopped in Saturday evening, 2/8, around 6:15pm, to pick up a 16-piece chicken tenders box, which comes with 4 rolls.
I was met at the counter quickly, and my order was taken and filled after the order ahead of it. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the staff professional and courteous.
I rated the food 3 stars because the chicken was VERY salty. I was not the only one to taste the saltiness. I probably should have taken the box back, but not to do that. This is the second time the saltiness could be tasted in the food (the last time about 4-6 months ago), and I know it wasn't in the gravy or bread rolls.
Bush's has a good product, I hope this review gets read, and a small adjustment can be made before they lose too much business - because most customers will not say anything and...
Read moreI was just at Bush’s chicken, ordering food on the way home that my husband asked me to get and bring home as we were out. I ordered online using the DoorDash pick up option embedded into Google Maps, using my own name and email and my husband’s credit card. I placed the order and it was confirmed at 5:09 PM. I got a notification that it would be available between 5:25-5:30 PM. I arrived at the store and there were many cars in the drive through, so I went into the restaurant where the employees were all working very hard. There were many people in line and I told the employee at the register that I had an order for Suzanna. She told me it would be 15 minutes. I waited while all of the people in line, who had placed their order 20 minutes after I had placed it online, got their orders ahead of me, and then I was told that they were out of MAC and Cheese and I would have to “ask them” what else the supposed other person ordered. I said no, this was my order, I was not picking up for someone else, and I had to wait a very long time for my order. I completely understand that they were busy, but I do expect orders to be processed based on the time that the order was placed, not on the time that someone enters the establishment. I completely understand that some restaurants may have trouble with DoorDash, but that does not mean that other people should be served first, especially if the order was already paid for. The food was great, as always, but I would strongly advise not ordering ahead, as you will not get your order in a...
