Mermaid's team is fantastic, friendly and eager to assist you when choosing between a chocolate chip cookie baked in-house and a whimsical cake pop... all gluten free and scrumptious! Love this place and it hasn't even formally opened yet (grand opening is later this week!) I came here last with a friend and got a latte and pumpkin loaf, great coffee flavor and loaf texture. This time, my sister and I stopped in for brunch before going to clean out her old apartment. I'm now certain that just everything here is good. We both got the ham and swiss quiche and a cinnamon roll (forgot to get a photo of the cinnamon roll), and myself a chai latte and her a hot chocolate. Drinks were perfectly warmed for drinking, quiche was fantastic (good cheesy eggs and buttery crust), cinnamon roll was just as you'd want it. As someone with a gluten sensitivity, having a cafe like this now nearby is very exciting. They're also handing out voucher punch cards for every drink you get, the 11th drink is free. Just great.
